Veterans Park Skate Park — Attraction in Town of Huntington

Drove an hour to get there and the skatepark was closed at 3:30pm because it had rained that morning. I called a phone number of the person who was listed on the schedule to be working that day (as it was posted on the wall clearly visible from the outside) and was told that the policy was that the park opening could only be delayed 2 hours because if rain, if they can't open the park within that time, it's closed for the day! I really enjoyed this park! The flow bowl is so much fun to skate and has two roll-ins. The pool bowl is pretty sweet as well. The plaza doesn't flow very well but is well maintained and the obstacles are fun to skate.

There are plenty of moveable obstacles you can move if you please, seems to be brought in by the locals.

Be warned that Sundays 12pm-1pm there is a kids skate camp and during that you are not allowed in the park.
