Easy mountain comparatively. Up hill for a half mile and nothing too steep. Nice 180 views at the top. Surprisingly there wernt as many people as I thought there would be on a nice saturday afternoon. I was thinking id be climbing in a theme park or school type line. If you are short on time or want something easy, this ones for you. Black bear is in the same parking lot and If you are an average hiker, you can easily do both in a few hours. Throw in rondaxxe too if ya wanna do all three. Only gave it five stars because of the ability to do them both and itd make for a fun day. Either one alone is a bit bland and small for my taste.

Great mountain for hiking. The trail is rugged, and makes you climb up some steeper inclines. I preferred this much over other trails, which tend to just be flat dirt trails. It only took about 15-20 minutes to reach the top,and once we got there, the view was gorgeous. You can see over Raquette lake, and there are some great photo opportunities. The view is definitely worth the climb.

First hike of two mountains. I preferred this one over Bald because the ascent is steeper and shorter. Really got the family breathing heavily at our pace. We were visited by two Bald Eagles but pictures of birds aren't cellphone lens' specialty. Yet in effect it was an otherworldly experience and I'm certainly returning.

This is a quick hike, easily accessible just off of Rt. 28. This hike shares a trailhead with Black Bear Mountain. Half a mile to the top, with an elevation gain of approx 450'. Not a difficult hike, but there are a couple of somewhat steep spots. A great little spot to relax, if you catch it during a quiet time. It can get crowded due to the ease of access. Grab a bite to eat at the Screamen Eagle while...
