Captain Gillen at Captree State Park — Attraction in Town of Islip

I went on this fishing trip and it was like going to hell The web site started 11 to 3 pm but imagine stuck on a boat for six hrs with the boat like the runway train and u can’t even walk because it was so rough the water yet he stayed six hrs instead of four and I was so sick I wend inside The crew member told me to just lay low on the bench but I started throwing up couldn’t help my self and the crew members would not even gave me a bottle of water I was begging please can I please get some water five times I think while everyone sat back and watch the show then he told me to go outside and sit not even with a ru ok or maybe because I was BROWN and not up to their standard , never again even one star is too much this guy if ur dealing with the public dude train ur staff to handle it I paided u good money for that trip and it was bad , I am a nurse and I would never treat a human that way u...

Usually I'm not one to complain fishing is fishing. But my recent experience on this boat was frustrating and unprofessional at the lease. We were out looking for stripe bass. It was a small boat with only 9 customers and about 5 staff. The staff were hooking fighting reeling in MOST OF THE FISH!!! As a charter service if a deck hand hooks a fish they give the reel to a paying customer. This was not the case. They cought 80 % of the fish on board. Some people wait years to be able to bring one of those fish in. And these guys just rubbed it in your face. Very unsatisfied with this...

Second time on the Captain Gillen with my young son, and I have to say both experiences were incredible, and we can’t wait to go back! The whole staff is so nice, knowledgeable, and over the top excellent with my son. They him touch all the fish, take pictures with them, throw them back. The Captain even let him steer the ship for a photo op. These trips were definitely the highlight of his summer, and we can’t thank Captain Gillen and team enough!...
