Captree Fishing Pier — Attraction in Town of Islip

Maybe it's because it's my first time fishing here, but even I can say it was not a good place to fish. People come here to get crabs and fish, and some say that they do catch stuff on some days. However, the day I went absouletly no one caught anything. The water around this peir is filled with so much sea weed that when I hauled up my crab trap I could barely get it up because it was so heavy. If I ever come back here, it wouldn't be to fish it would be to walk...

Came here for crabbing on a full moon night. The night view is incredibly beautiful. The downside is that the street lights are all off.

Update: Don't come for fishing, or you will waste your parking fee. There are too many ses weeds, and this park never cleans them. Your hooks will 100% get stuck on the seaweed, and you won't...
