I believe the female group that I had encountered today lacked any fashion of awareness and tact. They instead positioned themselves between the exit and my vehicle like some squabble of daft ducks. Had one of unstable foundation encountered such a rude group, I am, without a doubt, sure that they would have championed their way through the crowd without a second thought. Unfortunately, it is a shame that such ill-bred wenches should even find themselves outside their reserves. Be mindful, when visiting, that you do not engage them openly, their haughty nature is taxing on the mind. Otherwise, the park was quite accommodating despite its decrepit state. The laughable excuse of a basketball court was blanketed with a quilt of this autumns finest litter. Damages, probably from the recent storms, have not been repaired. It is almost as if the township is found failing in allocating funding for their single most redeeming site. During my walk, I found the swamp to be riddled with unnatural debris. I am not one to fault the groundskeepers of other's failings but their lack of upkeep has made me reconsider their dependability. I found the graffiti to be unexpectedly more refined than the boardwalk, which is to say the least saddening. I'm sure the park once was quite respectable when it first was open to the public but I fear it now pales in comparison to...
Read moreThis is a really cute park but it does not seem to be well looked after. The "boardwalk" has graffiti and lots of weak boards. There is a bunch of trash along the route to the pond. I'm not sure if I caught it on an off day, but the pond was very low and where we have previously seen hundreds of turtles (huge ones too), there was not much wildlife to be seen and lots of trash in the water. I've hiked along the Greenbelt trail in the past that brings you through the park and it takes you past the lake and under the train trestle which is very colorful with graffiti. It was a nice surprise as most of the trail weaves behind and between people's yards. There is a playground with lots of benches for parents. The playground is a bit old but has a spots for little ones as well as fun climbing spots for bigger kids. There is a basketball court, picnic tables and bathrooms near the parking lot. I can picture how beautiful this place must have been when it was first built but it definitely needs...
Read moreI used to really love this place but it's upkeep has taken a dive. Came here with my 2 toddlers and first issue we faced was multiple dog feces piles lol. You cant make this up. The wood is worn on the boardwalk, broken in some places. As you get closer to the pond, the smell takes over. Its sad that people continue to through garbage in there. You do get to see wildlife, such as turtlse, fish, geese among others. Also they need to repair the directions when you go along the walkway because you can easily get lost. The playground is decent but also a victim of poor upkeep. Rust has started to appear in several places and the posts were missing its caps, allowing for mosquitoes to rent a room or two lol. Aside from that, its a nice park with good parking spaces. A little gem nestled away. I do recommend coming her but have bug spray and hand sanitizer. And watch...
