Battenkill Valley Outdoors — Attraction in Town of Jackson

Battenkill Valley Outdoors is a very professionally run and accommodating business, thanks to Lisa and Don, the owners. My party was running a little late due to an input mistake on our gps, and they waited patiently for us to arrive, without making us feel bad. They were super friendly and informative, gave us dry bags/boxes, free of charge, to keep our phones and belongings dry, helped load and unload our kayaks, made sure to point out all of the key locations so we were aware of our surroundings (and where to exit the creek when we were done), and even offered us fruit ice pops upon our return! Not to mention, their two awesome dogs, who were playful and friendly, were a welcome part of our visit. And all of that is not even taking into account to how enjoyable the actual kayaking was! Thank you Don and Lisa for an amazing experience! 10/10 would...

We had so much fun here we loved it. We booked 9am but we were super late got there at 1030am but they still accommodated us as if we were on time. It’s a family business very friendly and good customer service. The only problem we had is that the water was not high enough we had to get out of the boat several times to pull up the kayak.

They didn’t tell us how shallow the water was. I want without shoes and walking on the wrong in the water wasn’t fun at all. I had blisters on my foot afterwards. Make sure you wear some shoes incase you have to jump out to pull your boat.

Have you something to drink…as you enjoy the beautiful nature quietness and fun. Plan your trip early so that you can have all the fun. We started at 11am to 4pm. Once your done you just call them and they come pick you up wherever your. I highly recommend it for anyone...

These folks are terrific. Courteous, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. My wife and I only needed 'shuttle service', as we had our own boats. The staff not only took care of the kayak lifting and loading, but during transport advised us of of river landmarks, and at one point stopped the car to have us get out so they could point out one specific obstacle that, without prior knowledge, might have posed a danger. With this knowledge and about three seconds or hard paddling, we had no issue with this part of the river. Others we saw in the office were renting equipment; we observed the same courteous, knowledgeable service, and when we saw them later on the water, they seemed to be having a great time.
