We used this trailhead to hike Giant Mountain. There is a small parking lot & a porta-potty here. 3.6 miles to the summit of Giant Mountain. Other trails break off and lead to the base of Roaring Brook Falls (0.3mi), top of the falls, Nubble, and Washbowl (2.8mi). We hiked to the bottom of the falls and then to the summit of Giant. We are not regular hikers so it took us 4.5hrs to get to the summit, 2.5hrs back down. It was a great leg workout because it's a steady incline the whole way. The trail is marked very well. The view from the summit is incredible....

Probably the most enjoyable, short, simply and forested hike I had with my family. Perfect for my two-year-old daughter to wander and stroll slowly toward a beautiful rocky waterfall. My wife, daughter, and wife relaxed in a hammock at the end of the hike, listening to calm, healing sounds water crashing on rock. Blissful, dry, and a perfectly prepared hiking environment. My sincere thanks to the rangers, trail preparers, and forest workers for crafting each step for a wonderful, slightly-winding adventure around...

Easy hike up to the upper falls, great views from the top of the falls. Take your shoes off for a wade near the edge but be careful and don't fall off! Can't beat the view from there.

Tried to push on beyond that to Giant's Nubble but the trail got really muddy and full of bugs, not pleasant at all.

And do remember to stop by the roadside viewpoint just about 1000ft southeast of the trailhead. Great view of the falls...

A nice 1.3 mile hike to the top of the water fall, with a spectacular view of the colorful forests. The climb is moderately difficult at the start, and then gently up. You can get pretty close to the top (literally stand on the top if you are brave!). In early Oct, it looks beautiful and the entire hike is shaded so you won't get too hot. The forest is quite, do watch for mushrooms as you go up and down, loads of varieties.
