James Baird State Park

*My review is based on just this experience and not with the rest of the park. I had inquired about having my wedding here at the pergola and shelter 2/pavilion. The pergola is over grown with weeds, the pavilion has algae growth, graffiti, and tables that are so incredibly rotted through, I'm amazed that they are still standing. With a price tag of $400 I figured they would clean up the place a bit but when I inquired about this, the woman told me they would be doing NOTHING and that the tables could be stacked up in the corner of the pavilion. She also would not permit us to come in and clean it ourselves. I am shocked at the lack of concern she showed for her establishment and I wish there was someone else to speak to about this and hopefully make it work for both myself and James Baird Park .
