Jamesville beach off leash dog park — Attraction in Town of LaFayette

At first seemed to be a great park, we started going in November. After our 2 most recent visits, I don't think I'll attend again. An older male dog was displaying rude behavior and humping my dog, owner wouldn't correct it. Some dogs had no recall, and a scuffle occurred between a group of dogs. Great place to exercise your dog off leash if your dog has good/partial recall. Park has no fences. There's a path through woods to a stream for water play unless the water is too high with strong current. There's much to explore and a wide path to walk if you just want to walk from one end and back. A couple trash cans spread for bagging and tossing poop. Good idea to bring own baggies. Absolutely beautiful! There is so much room that you don’t need to be near others if you don’t want to. If you walk the entire trail you can end up near some water for your pups to play in. My guys loved it! Some locals informed me that you have to pay ($7) to get into the park on the weekend, but it’s free during the week. There is also a disc golf coarse, so you can play while your pup is running around....
