Waited 30 minutes to get in, and paid $7 to launch our kayaks from the beach, once we were in the water, we were told we weren't allowed to exit the kayaks anywhere else on the lake once we launched, nor were we allowed to use the inner tubes we brought for our friends outside of the swimming area... Our friends decided to take the tubes to the swimming area... And were berated by passive aggressive announcements over the bullhorn "as a general reminder, floatation devices are not allowed in the deep end!" but the shallow end was too crowded TOO SHALLOW to even float! The life guards were rude, the beach was filled with algae, weeds, and sludge... And it was at least a 100 yard carry from the parking lot to the launch site... Best part of the whole trip was launching from another spot on the lake and laughing at all the announcements from across the lake "just as a general reminder there is a maximum of 15 patrons allowed in the raft at one time!" "as a general reminder you are only allowed to enter the raft from the designated ladder!" "as a general reminder laugher is prohibited on this beach" "just as a general reminder you shall all stand perfectly still and enjoy the water silently in single...

My girl doesn't love much more than she loves the Jamesville Beach Off-Leash Dog Park!! We've been bringing Athena here for almost two years now and it's her favorite spot, and ours too! I've never been to a more beautiful, and welcoming dog park! Especially being a Pitbull owner, you always worry how people will react but we have not once had any problems! Everyone that comes seems to have very good control over their dogs, I've never once witnessed a fight break out and sincerely, everyone is so friendly!! Open fields, trails to walk and even a little trail that leads to water, if you're willing to get a little muddy! 5 stars just isn't high enough of a review! Oh! And we even bring my dog-obsessed kitten in a little stroller! Everyone gets such a kick out of him being there and it tends to only be the dogs that have never seen a cat before that notice him at all! It's been a great time and he loves...

Well maintained county park with an immaculate, albeit small, sandy beach on Jamesville Reservoir. Cute playground and serene walking path that travels from the beach and picnic area along the reservoir to the dog friendly, wide expanses of the upper fields. Common place for folks to enjoy Frisbee golf too, though cannot comment on their course as we do not play. Spring trailblazing still needed to be completed when we were there as downed trees and unsteady stoned paths caused obstruction on the walking path for our family with young children, though for able-bodied, adults, likely would have been passable. Walking path by water, in current state, is not wheelchair or stroller accessible, though there is a section of paved pathway through the upper (western) fields that is accessible. Plenty of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. One of our favorite parks in the area despite the entry fee ($7...
