The Venue at Winding Hills — Attraction in Town of Montgomery

My husband played a round of golf at Winding Hills and on this one particular day he was blown away when he saw the renovations at The Venue coming together. He said I had to come see for myself and this will be the place to have our wedding. I trust him so much I didn’t feel the need to see it. Instead I called/emailed and Nicole held our date. Fast forward a year later and we are having a blast at The Venue - literally the best day ever!!

Our wedding was a mere 75 people of just family and a few friends. The groom and guests ran into a small issue with transportation from the hotel causing them to arrive late for the ceremony. It wasn’t the bride this time! But Nicole and Delaney handled everything flawlessly from getting the guests settled in for my walk down the aisle to keeping me informed with everything running as planned. These two are on point! I truly appreciated Nicole’s idea to change the location of our ceremony to accommodate my father who has an electric wheelchair and my FIL who has a scooter. With their physical health in mind, we held our ceremony on The Patio which was definitely more intimate. Another idea I appreciated was cutting the cake early (before dinner). The most important part of that was cutting the cake in my first dress. I got it out of the way and didn’t regret it. I was able to dance and greet my guests without a worry about tidying up for cake cutting pictures.

Melissa and every waitstaff that night kept our guests well fed and hydrated. They set aside a plate with some hors d’oeuvres for my husband and I to pick on because as hosts we never ever get to sit down and eat. Our kids were trying things they normally don’t pick on such as the paella and brisket, and expressed how delicious they were. The food overall was simply AMAZING!! Many compliments to the chef. That’s sincerely from us and all of our guests.

Everyone was so professional, well organized and communicated perfectly with one another. We laughed, we shared stories. We simply had an amazing staff. My love for every single employee that night still leaves me speechless. I’d love to have the same crew working for our next booked event at The Venue. Beautiful people, beautiful grounds. From the moment we saw Winding Hills, we knew this was the wedding venue for us. The venue does not feel like a typical golf course venue, the scenery and environment feels like a garden type venue, but gives the classiness of a golf course venue. Our first look, ceremony and family pictures are beautiful from the scenery and environment. So many guests (who all had to travel because this venue was so perfect for us, it was out of town for all of us) told us how different and beautiful of a venue it was. The reception space is large and with the tent being open everywhere all night, we got to continue to experience the beauty all night. What sold us even more on the venue was the patio space, it was a beautiful area for our cocktail hour and the best way to extend our night for our after party. The food was fantastic and our guests could not stop raving about it! Winding Hills even goes beyond with their recommendations of vendors, we got all of our vendors from their recommended list and they could not have been better . Our photographers (Ericalee photography) and florist (Dejavu floral) work so seamlessly with the venue, you feel like they work directly for them! The venue staff, like Heather and Melyssa, work so well with the other vendors, the entire experience is seamless (coming from a bride who did all her own planning). No question is too silly or small for Heather and Melyssa, always making you feel like a priority. It was the most beautiful day, I could not recommend this venue enough. The Venue at Winding Hills was actually the first venue we visited, and after meeting with Melyssa, we instantly knew this was the place for us. She was so knowledgeable and made us feel completely secure in their hands. What stood out most was the care and attention to detail—they do weddings all the time, yet they made ours feel like it was the only one that mattered.

When we toured, the Ferns lodge had not yet been built but we pre-reserved it any way and it really blew us away. It’s a gorgeous house with thoughtful touches throughout, and being right on site made everything so much easier and more enjoyable.

On the day itself, Heather was our point of contact, and she was absolutely fabulous. Every detail was so well thought out and executed perfectly. From the servers to the bartenders, everyone went above and beyond to make the day feel so special. I honestly expected to feel at least a little stressed, but thanks to this dream team, I didn’t feel stressed at all.
