Interesting grounds to visit, but typically NOT open to the public. You are able to see this light on certain tours during a few of the Door County festivals (specifically went on the trolley tour during the lighthouse festival in spring), but the area is not topen to the public at most times. Rarely open to tours. It and the grounds are still owned by the Coast Guard and used as a retreat for personnel. While the building was open for tours, there is nothing historic to be viewed inside.

Great place with a wonderful history. The lighthouse's fresnel lens is now at The Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay. Stayed a week over Halloween, no sign of Minnie.
