Stopped here on our bikes (bicycles) on a Friday afternoon. We stepped to the bar and met Joe (pretty sure that's his name). We got a couple of beers and ordered two perch baskets, one with fries. One with potato salad. We have not been here since the new owners took over last year, not knowing what to expect. Our bartender delivered our perch to our table and what a surprise! Big perch with tasty light breading. Deep fried perfectly. Wifey had the fries (good). I had the potato salad and it is out of this world great. We were stuffing ourselves when the cook stopped over to our table to see how things tasted. We gave her skills rave reviews and learned that the coating on the perch is home-made and a well kept secret. We left satisfied and able to bike another 10 miles or so. We shall be back. We are so thankful to have a place like this close by.

Pizza was awesome!!! Lots of cheese and good toppings with a nice thin cracker crust. All the wings were also excellent with great flavor, juicy and not dry or overcooked. This is a great little tucked away place.

A must go to location, great atmosphere, a rustic feel, clean with good people and great prices. I'm surprised it's not a featured travel destination suggestion.

We've wanted to try this place since it opened. So we took a drive up for Friday fish. Upon arrival, we saw quite a few open tables and took a seat (we assumed this was the expectation since there's no signage). We waited about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and bring menus, which is fine, we understand staffing can be a challenge. But the same guy who dropped menus on the table, came back a few minutes later, and said, "I'm ready," but he didn't ask us if we were... We rolled with it. I ordered my drink, and he told me, "I don't take drink orders that'll mess things up for the bar. You should go to the bar to do that." So we only ordered food & then had to go wait up at the bar for drinks & pay for those separately. The potato salad & coleslaw were excellent. However, the breading on the fish was very thin and fell off every piece of fish as soon as you picked it up to dip it in the tartar. No one ever came back to check on us & we tried getting the same server's attention, but we weren't successful. After waiting a bit, we went to the bar to ask for our bill and pay.

I can handle places being short staffed & waiting, but our big issue was having to separately get drinks if we are at a table (having 2 different bills) and that for the price, the fish wasn't good. Hopefully, in time, they can work out the issues and...

What a disappointment. We were seated right away (we had called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us) but then we waited 90 minutes for our meal. Granted, there were extenuating circumstances: we had a larger group (10) and it was the slow week after Labor Day weekend. But after an hour's wait, we had to go to the bar to ask our server (a friendly guy who seemed to be the only one working) what was up, and got a vague answer about the food being "worked on." No sense of urgency, no apologies, no offer of appetizers while we waited. My pizza, while tasty, was lukewarm by the time it arrived. I'm guessing it's not always like this, but I won't be going back to give it...
