Kowawese Unique Area — Attraction in Town of New Windsor

Very nice little hiking areas (along with NW pakt Plum Point) and great views of the Hudson River.

It's just a tragedy that it is and has been closed for many many months. Apparently due to a fire that potentially caused damage to the supporting structure. I wonder, how much damage could there be? and how long will it take them to "fix" or rebuild supports? and, if the damage was actually significant, posing an extreme risk of failure, wouldn't the bridge have been taken down immediately due to the risk of the train traffic...

I DJ’d a graduation party here about 2017 or so. I thought it was a great venue to have a more affordable wedding. Of course you would need to have it catered or have a cook/chef there in the on-site kitchen to provide all the food. The views from inside the glass-sided house were great!

One of my favorite places. Stunning view of Breakneck and Storm King and the island. I think it’s the prettiest spot on the whole Hudson River (Newburgh view of the river, in general). However, it is a public park. There can be a lot of people throwing picnics and bbqs on nice days. And the building at the top of the hill gets rented out for events. So it can be pretty crowded sometimes. Always nice to go on an off day, like the day...
