Went with my family of 4 .
12 yr son, 15yr daughter , me ( 51 yr) and wife ( younger than me by a little :) I share this if your a little uneasy if you can do it. I saw varying ages and fitness levels, very minimal hiking required and just a small hike to the first platform. Minimal strength required as well, the brake in the line is easy to apply and the guides are with you on both platforms.
The staff was amazing, met a young lady when we first got there and she saw our Bills masks and immediately engaged with us. We had fun discussing her hometown near Buffalo, the Bills and Wegmans:) What she didn’t know was that my wife was very nervous and this helped put her mind at ease. Thank you!
There were other staff helping us to get our equipment on and they were also great. Personable and were very clear on what to do and making it comfortable. It was well organized.
Next was our guides... Turtle and Buck. These guys were great. Very thorough on the lines and had tons of knowledge about the area which was great. We felt very safe on the platforms and on the lines. The guides did a great job making sure everyone in our group was relaxed and knew what to expect. They also followed good COVID precautions for those that may be concerned with this. masks on platforms, plenty of hand sanitizer at base, etc...
I think It was turtles dog Jib that hung out with us up and down the mountain and that was cool as well.( not on the platforms...duh).
It took about 2 hrs total to do the 6 lines and the 2 other obstacles. Fun side by side ride up to top of mountain.
My entire family loved it. I think my daughter now wants to move, change her career path, and be a zip guide :) she hasn’t stopped talking about it since we returned.
Don’t hesitate to book this, so much fun.

Everything about this experience exceeded our expectations. I called a few days in advance to schedule a family visit and even the phone conversation to book out visit was easy and enjoyable. Upon arrival we were treated by their awesome staff. They immediately provided us with a briefing as to what the experience was going to entail. Minutes later gear fitting, safety and communication were reviewed in detail. The friendly staff made us all feel comfortable and eager to get started. Some of us were not actually ziplining but following along on a parallel hiking path to take photos and video. Safety instructions and tips on prime viewpoints were provided as well. We truly enjoyed all aspects of this experience and highly recommend it to all who visit the area. BTW, we were recommended to come to Experience Outdoors after visiting a nearby ski mountain that offered basic ziplining. Experience Outdoors is far from basic but the training and encouragement from the staff makes newbies confident to break their inhibitions and accomplish this beautiful course of ziplining and rappelling. Hello Experience Outdoors. This is Love Bug, Steve, and The Mayor from Pennsylvania. Sending a Hello to Speedy, Panther, Snake Bite and Papa Bear!! Experience Outdoors is a must stop while visiting Lake Placid/Adriondacks. Don't leave without zip lining with great experts, respectful, awesome personaltities , super friendly guides that will make your experience something you will never forget. I am 48 years old and broke my fear of heights with the patience, guidance and support from Pike ( I think I have that name right, sorry if I am wrong). Never in my life did I think I would ever accomplish anything like zip lining but I did it. I can't wait to go back and do it again someday. A big thank you to Snake Bite and Papa Bear for being patient with me and for your support when I did get stuck and wanted to quit. Winners never quit, Quitters never win. The 2 kids that were with our group, Speedy and Panther, they were such a joy to zip line with. Sorry I missed them when they saw us at the rest stop on our way home.
