Website for booking tickets as well as reserving a bobsled was horrible even with using different web browsers. The military discount when booking online, it was a joke as it would not let you verify your military id even though you did verify through id.me as the website says to. When called I was told you can 100% only book online (counter productive for a business whose sales should matter in my opinion). When I called on the actual day of the bobslead ride no one would answer the phone. Address listed does not bring you to the correct place in 3 different gps systems. Once finally arrived, the elevator was out of service (VERY bad after youâve climbed a high peak the day prior) and then we were told our reservation didnât actually go through in the website. So we were bumped 2 additional hours. By the time that 2 hours came around there was a 30 minute delay due to thunder, mind you no actual rain had fallen for another hour after the delay. Once the rain did start they were kind enough to tell us there was another delay so we might want to get a refund. But when I asked when they closed they said 4pm which was only an hour away. So do the math, definitely get the refund not probably. And while writing this review Iâm watching staff go home at 3:15, not the closing hour of 4pm as announced. So once again take a mental note to go get the refund. Never did get to ride!!!! Absolutely the worst experience, not to mention again the deplorable website. Really, I would think in todays day and age of technology and for a âprofessionallyâ run business you could have done so much better even if itâs out of simple human respect and not to do with running your business. Way to much aggravation to even want to come...
Read moreI brought my children for the 1 PM luge and was told we had to wait until 2 PM because the ticket counter saleslady couldnât process the waivers fast enough for us to ride at 1. She seemed overwhelmed and frustrated that we even asked to buy tickets. Customers shouldnât have to waste an hour just to be sold tickets. They need to hire staff who are comfortable using the required technology for the position.
Unfortunately, we had to be somewhere else at 2:30, so a 2 PM ride wouldnât work, and my kids missed the chance to experience the luge. The most frustrating part was the condescending tone I received when I explained that 2 PM wouldnât work for us. Instead of offering solutions, they acted like we were the problem for not just âobeyingâ their time change. Just save your money- skip coming over here. The rock wall isnât anything special or different than...
Read moreOn one hand, this experience is very unique, and how often is the everyday person given the opportunity to do an Olympic activity?? BUT it was quite expensive per person, for a 30 minute wait before hand (with very few seats) and a ride that is over in less than a minute. Itâs as authentic as it can be for a tourist attraction, and lots and lots of people participate, so theyâve got a system and know what theyâre doing getting groups up to the start and safely back down. The guys running the bobsleds, were very friendly and funny! It helped that there was a bonfire with sâmores while you wait.
The T-Shirt included is nothing special, and if you do the Skelton experience as well, you get practically the same one. Our group enjoyed these experiences but wouldnât rush to do them again...
