Science Museum of Long Island — Attraction in Town of North Hempstead

I will give this a 3 star rating only because the website is really not clear on that this is NOT an actual Science museum with exhibits. Traveled this far with kids to nothing. Also went inside and there was nobody at the front until we started yelling “Hello, anybody here” 😅 The property itself is also not really inviting in terms of signs on where to go except for one map at the beginning. But i guess that is enough ? Or not. Anyways, 3 stars because according to other 5 star ratings the program here is great. Just have to reserve or something? That wasnt clear to me either when the lady came out finally...

This is a great institution which offers fun and interactive camps and programs for kids. My children have been attending since elementary school and they still love the activities. The teachers are great and they offer a wide variety of topics to appeal to all. In recent years they have also added family events and summer outdoor movies and concerts.
