The Delaney farm is on Kasson Road just north of where it crosses the Seneca Turnpike. They're currently (in August) selling corn, tomatoes and peppers. You can purchase the corn soon after it's picked, shuck it there into a basket on the floor so the leaves can be recycled as fertilizer for next year's crop, drive home and steam the ears for 5 minutes or so, insert cob holders, apply liberal amounts of butter and salt, and enjoy the most delicious corn you've ever tasted. I'm serious, if you're used to eating grocery store corn, this fresh corn is going to amaze you. By not storing it for days, the sugar can still be tasted as it hasn't had time to be converted to starch by enzymes that are still active in corn after it's been picked. Starch has all the calories, but none taste of sugar. So, time is the enemy of enjoying freshly-picked sweet corn.
