When you book a venue for an event, you hope every piece falls into place just the way you want. You can stay up nights worrying what will be, but certainly should not with the dream team led by Gerry, Scott and Derek at the Hilton Pearl River. Not only did they make the planning process easy (and honestly FUN), we walked out of our event blown away by every aspect.| |This wasn’t the first time our school group had used the Hilton as the host for our annual fundraiser, but we wanted to reinvent event to breathe some fresh life into the evening. From our initial conversation with the Hilton dream team, they were eager to help us rethink how to approach our event and turn it into something that weeks later guests are still talking about. From how we set up the room to the food we served, every detail was thought through, and they cared – like really cared – that this event would be successful. They were just as detailed-oriented as we were, and that was just amazing.| |Our event had a lot of moving parts – including a guest count that wasn’t firm. While we hoped our numbers would be around 300, we had no way to know for sure where we would get at the end. As we began to see that not only would we exceed 300 attendees, the Hilton team remained flexible and open to ideas of how to shift the room. AND this went on up until the final hours before the event, as more people signed up and we ended up far exceeding our goals. They were responsive to emails and texts to make changes literally as we were about to open the doors.| |Additionally, we worked with them to design a room layout that differed from what we used in the past. As it became clear that what we had pulled together would be too costly for our nonprofit fundraiser, the Hilton team worked tirelessly with an outside vendor to adjust the layout so we could still have the look we wanted without the steep cost involved. That dedication was noted by us and we are so thankful for their willingness to work so hard to help us.| |Gerry and her team also suggested we shift from a sit-down dinner to a buffet. By doing so, we got to offer more varieties of food – better accommodating people with varying food restrictions – and the flow of the event improved greatly because people ate as they were ready. As a result, there was much more mingling among guests, something that many attendees commented was great!| |We are thankful for getting the opportunity to have such a great Hilton team on our side through every step of this year-long planning process. Read moreAbsolute perfection! We were immediately drawn to the fact that this venue had 3 separate spaces; a room for the ceremony, a room for the cocktail hour, and an independent reception space. The venue itself is beautiful, the outside looks like a chateau and the inside is gorgeous, with impressive architecture and plenty of sun light coming into the ceremony and cocktail room space. The grounds provide plenty of photo opportunities as well. A huge plus, not having to worry about busses. With room blocks on site, guests can check in and simply go up to their room at night. We were even provided a wedding suite, (offset by other costs), and we stayed 2 nights and had our rehearsal dinner at Noonans in Pearl River. The food at the Hilton was amazing, the tasting was so much fun, and the options for food and drink is plentiful.
Abby and Derek, who work for the venue, helped us so much during our process. Abby is extremely responsive, making sure we succeeded in our planning. She assisted us so much and guided us towards the perfect day. She even recommended our photographer (klavallee,photography) who we loved. Abby and Derek truly have their finger on the pulse. They assisted with our wedding timelines, dealt with coordination amongst vendors, and on wedding day, Derek and Abby made sure our timeline was on time, made sure our parties knew what to do and what order they’d appear, and made sure everything was perfect. If the most minor concern arose, it was immediately answered or dealt with.
The overall staff was beyond friendly and professional. Bartenders, wait staff, Linda who was bride’s attendant that day, valet, front desk staff, cleaning staff, etc.. Our guest were glowing about their experience and commended the staff so much.
In summary, have your wedding there!! At least go and talk with Abby or Derek. Or just walk around the grounds and soak it in. Abby, Derek, and the Hilton of Pearl River will always have a special place in my our hearts. I cannot repeat that enough! Sincerely, Dillon and Emily...

Due the pandemic, we needed to postpone our event multiple times (we were originally scheduled for March 28, 2020), and the Hilton was extremely accommodating to all of the changes we needed to make. They remained positive, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire experience.
It is easy to see from online photos how beautiful the indoor and outdoor spaces are to host an event. What you can't see from the pictures is how exemplary the staff and service are. As part of our wedding weekend, we had lunch, Baraat, ceremony, hospitality rooms, reception, breakfast, and a hotel block for the whole weekend. We had over 200 guests in attendance. Even with the complexity and full weekend of events we had planned, the Hilton staff helped us to plan and execute all of our events flawlessly with an incredible attention to detail. With their experience in large scale, multi-cultural weddings, they were able to anticipate needs we didn't even know we had. I can't say enough good things about working with Abbey on all of the planning and coordination. She was incredibly organized, accommodated all of our needs, and had great insights that helped us plan our events. Derek, the maitre d', helped with the logistics and ensuring that everything ran smoothly that day. During the events, the entire staff did a great job with service. Special shout out to the bridal attendant, Linda, who took great care of us while we were running around that day.
