Lacking running water, but does have picnic tables and toilets. Self pay is $8 per vehicle and $5 per trail user, which is a bit steep, most regular users will be better served to buy annual passesfor both in January. The trails are phenomenal; they wind through several different woodland, plains and marsh areas and you can connect to Muir trails if you have the time and stamina. I put 30 miles and 2100 feet of elevation on a mountain bike without doubling up and there are over 45 miles of bike trail. For hikers there are over 100 miles of trail in this system, they only have to share the Carlin and Muir...

Huge THANK YOU to person who stopped on their bike to help us new years day! You are an angel!!! 😇 🙏🥰💗 #FirstDayHike (New years day). Did NOT expect to get so much snow...and went hiking here for the first time with some friends and their children. There were a lot of forks in the trail towards the end, and with the heavy snowfall it was really difficult to see what was the right path to get back. 🥶🌨️❄️ God works in mysterious ways that's for sure! Thank you to whoever you are for your kind spirit and for helping us get back...

Great place to hike. Beautiful day, so it was quite busy. Our one year old golden retriever got some really good training time due to a combined use trail we hiked. The trail was a bike/hike trail, and our pup did really well when bikes would pass. This is just a suggestion for the bikers. If you had a couple jingle bells on your handle bars, it would help alert hikers that a bike was getting near. We didn't have any problems, but a few areas along the trail were pretty close quarters for a one year old pup and...

I've been riding the Emma Carlin trail system for 26 years. I've rode all over the country and I still thank God every day that Emma is my home trail! Huge shout out to IMBA and all of the volunteers that keep this system in tip top shape! The trail, no doubt, has changed in that time span. But every change makes it grand new again and more awesome! Thanks Wi. For a gem!
