I'm giving this park a 4 star, it's a great place to go and have a picnic, shoot some hoops and enjoy your day. They have a small pond to fish in but it is catch and release. Couple ball fields, soccer baseball, softball, nice batting area. As long as they are not being used by any of the programs going on skate park, frisbee golf, My one main complaint is that they have spent a lot of money on the care and maintenance and yet during the winter there is not much there to do. I'm sure you could cross-country ski if you like. But pretty much everything else is a summer type activity. I have left messages to see if the director or someone that can make decisions for the park to talk and have never had a reply. This park is way bigger than most with lots of land to recreate. Seeing that up here in New York we seem to have almost 6 moths of winter it is a shame there is not much. Most of the land is very flat and they do have room to cut out an area for some ice skating, you cannot ski on the pond which I understand but there is nothing stopping them from forming a shallow area they can fill with water for the winter, the park would be a better rounded one for sure. Water in the shallow area only has to be 5 to 8 inches deep. All in all it's a very nice place very clean and cops patrol the...
Read moreI don't usually go to that area but I saw a concert was scheduled, and wanted to bring my handicap sister to enjoy the evening out. I usually bring her to Concerts By The Shores on Wednesdays at Lake Ontario but they were finished for the season so I wanted someplace to bring her. To be honest I should have checked the actual location of parma parks. SO we had a nice ride around until I looked up the exact location!! Concert was OK but nothing like Lake Ontario!!! The Para Parks is a HUGE PARK , ,baseball fields, children activities, etc. I was very surprised to see how huge this complex was?? The lawn was absolutely superb, VERY GREEN, LUSH, I WISH MY LAWN LOOKED LIKE THAT!!! I...
Read moreParma Town Parks is a great local and fun park for your dog, fishing, hiking, disk golf, playground, skate park, nets for soccer, and fields for baseball. Tennis court is currently undergoing maintenance. There are about 2 to 3 miles worth of trails at the south east point of the park! The trails themselves are very well maintained, (except for a tree down that makes it alittle difficult to maneuver around). There is also a creek that runs through these trails, if your dog loves the water or playing in water, this is the perfect place! Pets must be on leash! Please clean up...
