Penfield Public Library — Attraction in Town of Penfield

As a mom, this place is golden! They are always doing fun activities in the kids room, like scavenger hunts and library exploration. Fun seasonal themes are highlighted by the staff. The toy area is so much fun, with a doll house, fully stocked play kitchen, grocery store, train table, puppet show/felt board with multiple felt storyboard packs to use, puzzles, Legos, and obviously tons of books! There are comfy couches and chairs galore to cozy up and read. My daughter is almost 3 and she is loving the Library because of how wonderful it is there. 1st post Covid visit. After walking into the entrance, you fill out a slip of paper with your name and time of entry. Then you precede into the library. Since there aren't many activities, the library was currently not busy. We found what we wanted, checked out, and left. You will tell them your name again when you leave, and they mark it off. Not sure if they keep the record of your visit or toss it. Was a smooth process though. Oh, and if you need or want them there are disposable masks and gloves...

All the counties have rules whereby if you live in another county, even though you're in the Penfield school district and pay taxes to it, then you can't join the library unless you pay $40 (2 kids $80).
