Learn morePowder Mill Park is an amazing park with a beautiful fish hatchery where you can feed Rainbow and brown gorgeous trout (bring your quarters and a small container to catch the fish food out of the gumball machine!) The park is gorgeous and fun to explore with a nice bathroom house. The playground is almost new to the left down the road with it's own parking lot. There is one especially unique ride there that kids live. It's like the flying swings at a fair, but it goes round and round for awhile with one parents strong push. We call it the helicopters. There is a Swain ski hill off to one side of the park where little kids practice the bunny slope and start to learn to gain control of their ski legs. Get outside and explore Powder Mill Park by yourself with your friends or family. It will make the permanent memory bank of very enjoyable days...
Read moreI've always loved this park. My family comes for picnics. My dad used to bring me to see the fish. Now I decided to find the trail with my brothers. It's uphill to begin, then flattens and goes back downhill. Interesting placement for the marking. My brothers ended up finding it! Loved the open field behind the viney trees. Nice spot to...
Read moreHiking trails, fish hatchery, sledding hills, ponds, and the mushroom house?! What's not to like?! This is a must visit park if you're just passing through and visiting. Even if you're just driving through to get to the mall. The mushroom house alone makes it worth it. Bristol Mountain also used to sponsor skiing lessons on one of the hills with a rope tow when I was a kid, but they might not anymore. I also saw a Pileated woodpecker here when hiking a trail by the fish hatchery, so you might be interested if you are a bird watcher as well. Oh, and yes you can feed the fish at the hatchery. Kids get a kick out of it. Bring some...
