Mt Alvernia Retreat Center — Attraction in Town of Poughkeepsie

It is a wonderful place of the Franciscan Order. I had been here three times. It is really spectacular and expert for retreat, relax with beautiful scenery and excellent foods. Everyday will begin with the Mass. I like here not only that, but also the atmosphere here is perfect. I did enjoyed here very much. This is one of my favorite places on Earth. I come here once a year with my young adult group from St. Francis of Assisi in NYC. It's an occasion to which I always look forward. The facility is tranquil, surrounded by fields, forests, and a sweeping view of the Hudson Valley. It includes plenty of space for prayer. And group meetings, both large and small. Meals are served several times a day, and the Franciscan friars who operate the place are...

This is a wonderful place for a retreat. The place is very peaceful and the facility is modern (yes, they have WiFi), the staff were awesome and very friendly. The Friars were inspirational and are wonderful spiritual directors. They have a very nice library, gift shop, and chapel. I've spent time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament in the late evenings and early mornings. I love this place!!! Thank you for making my first retreat there...
