I have been going to that park for years I used to take my kids in strollers and walk my dogs and now my children are older so now I continue to walk my dogs. It’s a great place to go. That’s a great place to take your dogs for a long ….walk there isn’t many places that you can go around here ….. I went there today, which isLabor Day weekend to take my dog for a walk and there was a few parties there… which that’s great but there was also dogs that were not on leashes so I couldn’t take my dog for a walk. That really is not fair .. it says all over, please keep your dog on a leash… now I understand that peoples dogs stay with them and A couple ofmy dogs would stay with me as well, but if someone dog came running at my puppy, that would be another story. I have a puppy now that has anxiety issues that I’m trying to socialize her more. So I walk her in the park, but I stay away from people. If a dog came running at us that would propose a problem. People need to keep your dogs on leashes like it says all over the park. I would absolutely hate to have it ban in that park after all these years because it really is a nice place to...

My husband and I just drove through this lovely little park the other day on our Sunday drive. We have been to this park several times over the years but only in the Fall for a car show. This is the first time we visited in the summer and we discovered how lovely a park it is. There are lots of places to get down by the water and they have lots of picnicing areas all over the park. There is also a nice playground area for kids. This park offers lots of shaded areas as well as open field areas for some ball playing, frisbee throwing, or whatever else you want to do. We discovered areas that look like they could be used for camping if you follow the park road to the right. It goes quite a ways down into the woods and can be muddy after it rains, but there are some beautiful spots down in there, and some are close to the water. The only bad thing we found was that the highway is just on the other side of a line of trees and the noise can be annoying at times. Pets are welcome as long as you clean up after them and they...

We went to Dwyer park yesterday for a Father’s Day picnic. We got there about 10:30 in the morning. We picked our spot to have are picnic. There were plenty of tables and a fireplace grill to do our grilling. We used the bathrooms and they were clean and had plenty of toilet paper and water and a air dryer to wash your hands. When we went to use the bathrooms again around 1:00 they were locked and no one could use them. There was a lot of people there but no bathrooms to be used! Why would you close the bathrooms in the busiest time of the day? Lovely park, playground for kids, a small swimming area, hiking and plenty of grilles and picnic tables but no...

This is such a beautiful gem! I've never been to this park before but a photographer recommended it for family photos. It is beautiful with all different landscapes from open field to lakes and everything in between. Awesome place for photos or picnics for sure! Photo courtesy of Beth Boline Photography.

Great for family fun so whether you’re taking a walk a jog fishing biking or just bringing the kids to the park this is the place for you so pack the cooler and head on down. Also, if you’re visiting the area, this is a must visit if you enjoy nature.
