I debated putting this review up for a few weeks but I decided i needed to share an honest review.
Had my wedding here. Ceremony was the best part. No complaints there but the reception could have easily been anywhere else. And while I truly enjoyed myself, all the credit is truly given to the friends and family i was surrounded by and not the venue itself.
If it was one or two things i wouldnt have had such a problem but it was multiple little things that added unnecessary stress to the day.
Heres all the things that went wrong at this place. Wedding ceremony time 6:30-7:30 cocktail hour (7:30-8:30) reception (8:30-11:30)
awful smell from the mens bridal suite where the groom had to keep the door to the suite wide open everytime someone used the private bathroom. Plumbing issue?
no air conditioning in the bridal suites. It must have been broken? When asking Kim if there was anything we could do she told my bridesmaid "ohh nooo you gotta get out of there" and made no suggestions as to where I, the bride should go until the ceremony. I was sweating in the suite and frankly thats disgusting for your wedding day.
Maid of honor was looking for food at the cocktail party 20 minutes before its expected end time. Trays were empty and never refilled.
Reception started 30 (THIRTY) MINUTES LATE! SO not only did my guests not recieve food for the full cocktail hour but they also had to sit around and wait another 30 minutes to be lead into the reception area which also 100% threw my photographer and vidographers schedules completely off and made the rest of the reception and pictures feel so rushed. Even though Kim started the reception late, the reception still ended at the time it was supposed to so we completely lost reception time that was payed for.
signature cocktail was finished by 9:45pm. Thats almost 2 hours before everything was supposed to finish. Mind you, the cocktail was made from Moscato wine, one of the cheapest kinds of wines you could buy in bulk. When i confronted Kim she said more was coming and not to worry but then a waiter brought me a drink told me the one i was given was from upstairs and thats because they cant make anymore since the mixture was too frozen. Sooo, why did Kim say they were going to have more if the waiter and bartenders are literally telling me that they are all out.?
I was told that the food would come with seasonal vegetables.(thanks to covid we couldnt try food before hand) When i recieved my chicken i had literally 4 (FOUR ) pieces of vegetables encasing my chicken. I was so shocked when I saw my plate..
i dont know what happened to my cake. It was cut at 9:30 for pictures but It was handed out sooo late that they didnt even serve everyone cake. I didnt find out until after we left that quite a few people told me they weren't offered cake, My mother and son included. I paid extra for the cake out of pocket too for premium flavors and designs and somehow the cake didnt make it to alot of my guests.
All in all, I would not recommend having a reception here. The ceremony was amazing and the view for that is impeccable but a reception could have easily been anywhere else for half the cost and been...
Read moreWe got married here and highly recommend The Views at Mt Fuji especially because of the coordinator, Pia.
We had toured many venues throughout NY and NJ and found The Views really pleasant to work with. Pia was thoroughly patient and kind with our many questions and requests. From our first visit to tour the venue, to the food tasting to pick the cocktail hour passed apps, and to this day, I greatly appreciate Pia’s thoughtfulness and kindness. Our friends and family also complimented Pia’s considerate and helpful approach, especially in helping us incorporate ideas throughout the night to include kids in the reception fun! Wedding prep and the actual day can be so overwhelming but Pia was so calm, respectful, careful, and accommodating.
The cocktail hour food and drinks were stand-outs, especially the carving station and the smoked old-fashioned drinks!!
It was really nice to have ample space for bride and groom with our own suites and bathrooms but also to have the suites close together.
The golden arch provided by the venue that we used during the ceremony and reception was a nice touch.
Although it was a chilly day, we were able to get some nice pictures outside at the gazebo and in front of the venue before the ceremony and a few night shots as we quickly ran out to the gazebo during the reception.
Our guests really enjoyed the ice cream sundae bar, as did we =)! Pia made sure it was completely nut free and safe for our guests to enjoy (as we had a few guests with nut allergies so we wanted to be mindful of this).
We chose our DJ from the vendor suggestions and were really happy with John (Action Entertainment) and his crew’s work at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception! Our friends and family also continue to compliment the MC and DJ’s work at our wedding. They really kept the party going and every aspect of the reception flowing (wedding party entrance, first dances, bouquet dedication, etc.). They paid close attention to our wedding details and were really on point with the various elements of our whole day and evening.
Also, props to Palermo Bakery; it was such an efficient to-go cake tasting box (pick-up at their bakery) and emailing them our final decision. The cake was included with our package and it was an incredibly seamless process. They were quick to respond to any emailed requests. We didn’t have to do anything after we emailed our final order as Palermo and The Views/Pia worked all that out. It was nice to not have to worry about the cake at all the day of!
For flowers, we worked with Flowers by Sue who did a BEAUTIFUL job bringing the envisioned centerpieces, bouquets for the bridal party, and men’s pocket floral arrangements to life. Would definitely recommend Sue Boonstra to anyone having an important life event!
For shuttle service, we worked with JPM and they were great with communication and service before and day of as well! Highly recommend!
We are truly thankful to Pia and everyone at The Views for everything before, during, and after our wedding day. Cheers and much...

Management - 5/5 Food - 5/5 Decor - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Price - you get what you pay for! 5/5
Bruce, the manager, was not only the most detail-oriented, efficient, and knowledgeable event manager, but he was also a wonderful person to work with. I am an extremely picky person, with a lot of specific needs for my guests. Bruce was amazing at fulfilling all of my guest's needs, as well as all of the very specific needs that I had as the host.
The Food was phenomenal. Having a strict vegetarian family, as well as family that are carnivores, the kitchen was able to seamlessly create an atmosphere where both diets were accounted for. The food was delicious, fresh, thoughtful, and Bruce and his head chef (Joe?), were both very accommodating to my "vision" for the meal. They went back and forth with me on several ideas, helped me generate the best possible menu, and even made a special Indian course for my family.
The decor, although very ornate, did well with my modern take. I had decorated in navy, white, and silver for the theme, and it came out beautifully in the room. Bruce was able to negotiate great prices for all of the decor, and was able to really make the whole theme come together.
Service before, during, and after the party was absolutely incredible. If any guest needed anything, it was accommodated in minutes. I had several elderly guests and they needed benches, chairs, and couches added to the room, and the team was flawless with their excecution of these requests. When we needed a room for a mother who wanted to breastfeed, we were given the private space for her. When we were in need of more plates, drinks, or cutlery, it appeared in seconds. When we needed tables and chairs for the Photo Booth, we had them. Bruce even had things set up a few days before, and let us in and out of the venue, in order to make sure everything was perfect. The Bartender was one of the most fun and attentive bartenders I had come into contact with, in all of the events that I have planned thus far.
The price was not cheap, but every cent we paid was worth it. I would be honored to work with Bruce again in the future. I highly recommend planning you next event at Mount Fuji. If not that - definitely go to one of...
