Such a cute little spot right off the beaten path. My wife and I planned this as a nice refresher from the other wonderful restaurants around Seneca Lake and it did not disappoint. We took the long way to the farm and ended up driving down an unpaved road which led us here. The staff was friendly. We opted for the 8 sample flight and chose 4 frozen treats and 4 cheeses. Everything we chose was also available for purchase in larger portions. Everything was made in-house. We could see the workers packaging a fresh batch of cranberry cheddar through the window in the air conditioned dining room. They also had a few nice places to sit and enjoy your flights outdoors but it was a hot day and it was nice to sit inside. I have zero complaints about the ice cream. My favorite was the strawberry lemonade sorbet. Super creamy texture and great flavor. The only cheese that my wife and I tried but were not crazy about was the smoked bacon cheddar. It was a punch in the mouth of smoked flavor. Im sure theres people out there that would enjoy it but it wasnt for us. The cheese curds however were right up my alley. We got the tomato basil curds and wow! I wish I had had a way to keep them cold while we drove around the rest of the day because I wouldve bought as much...

They feature a great selection of homemade ice creams and local cheeses. You can buy individual items (like cones) or select take-away containers from the refrigerator. For a fun way to sample, we recommend trying a flight! You can combine any mix of ice cream, cheese, or both.
A note on pricing: The best value is actually to share, but if you do the math, buying three of the 4 item flights items is technically cheaper than buying one larger 12-item flight. Shtayburne Fames should revisit the pricing to make buying more attractive to customers.
Yes, there are some natural farm smells when the door is open, but since you are on a farm, it wasn't an issue. Overall, it was a memorable and different experience, and we're...

We experienced his passion for farming & compassion for each named cow. Lance was busy monitoring & processing cheese while maintaining clean/sterile equipment. The gal in the shop - sorry I can't call you out by name - was making fresh, delicious waffle cones. The aroma was magnificent, and all samples were tasty. We parted with lots of information & treats to share among family & friends. Thank you, Hostetler family! A must visit when you're in the region. Oh, and good luck with the 2024 cheese competition being held in Buffalo, NY. We're rooting for you and hope to...
