I recently visited Rose Hill Farms with my girlfriend, and we had an absolutely fantastic time! The farm is conveniently located on the way to Hudson Valley from the city, making it an ideal stop for anyone heading that direction. One of the first things we noticed was the ample parking, which made our visit even more hassle-free.
The campus is expansive, with multiple buildings to explore, and we really enjoyed the variety of offerings. We tried the wine and mead, both of which were delicious. We couldn’t resist picking up a local bottle to enjoy on the charming rear deck. From there, we had a stunning view overlooking the beautiful flowers and apple orchards—a perfect spot to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.
To top it off, there were food trucks on-site, and we lucked out because it was taco day! The combination of great drinks, amazing scenery, and delicious food really made for a memorable experience. I absolutely loved the atmosphere up here and can’t wait to come back again. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick visit or planning to spend the day, Rose Hill Farms offers a little something for everyone....
Read moreWent today and find small green blueberries, and some small peaches, nothing left..very frustrating. Also They have an employer who pick mostly of their peaches. also there is an area of trees with big peaches which says "dont enter"...so my question is if the farm picks the peaches and sell them at counter, is our visit worthed? In my case i went for picking.. Now some good news there is a nice place which sale fermented beverages. Miss some food at that place.. they sell some potatoes chips etc.. Some days they sell some pizza and some crab rolls in a outside truck.
So in my opinion " my opinion" this is a selling business place to spend money buying fruits at the counter. if you are lucky you can find and pick peaches and blueberries on the first day available . And we went the first day of picking, first day.
One recomendation: try to go first hour of the morning and first day of picking. If so you lose your time with long traveling in my case., I was expecting a diferent kind...
Read moreThe grounds at Rose Hill Farm are definitely nice. It’s the rolling hills you look for when taking your family to a POY experience. The nearby town (Red Hook) has a cool vibe and the farm itself has some nice elements like a food truck and the cidery. My biggest issue is that this place is a pure money grab. When we were there on June 19th they charged us $7 per lb. That might be reasonable for Whole Foods cherries but not a POY farm. For context, there are several other exceptional cherry picking locations in either direction (north or south) that charge $2.50 per lb. Fix Brothers, Smith Farms to name a few. And the cherries there are wonderful as well. This place just feels...
