Apologies in advance for the long, detailed review My daughter had decided to book a private group of 8 of us for Father's Day this year. Unfortunately, the person on the other end of the phone who booked it, had booked our group for "Open play" which we did not want. Additionally, we had been told paintballs were included and they were not, so we had to spend an additional $100 on paintballs for the group, and load them ourselves. I was not happy but I tried to make the best of the day. We had walked all the way out to the farthest field, only to find that someone in our group had been given the "wrong gun." Originally, we were told to pick up any gun on the counter, and most our group had never played before, so we had no way of knowing what the correct size was. We all had to walk back while the person in our party had gotten the correctly sized gun. At this point, the day was turning out to be a very bad experience, and none of it had been our fault. I had walked over to speak to a manager with my daughter who had booked the day and explained the situation, and that I was not happy. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name, only that he had a beard. He was super understanding and he had a solution for us to make it right. As it turned out, that particular day, there had been someone who had come for an interview and was ready to work. His name is Tom. The manager had assigned Tom to our group and from that moment on, our day was immediately turned around. Tom had moved us to a private field so that would could have our fun. We had played several games and every so often, went back to refill our guns and air. At one point, my youngest daughter had ripped her pants, and Tom had given her some tape so she could tape it up and finish out the day, since she did not have a change of clothes. We had played several games on several fields and Tom was a terrific ref. For our last game we couldn't agree on how we should use up our paint or divide up our teams and Tom had suggested a game of "Infected," where one person starts out as the infected one (usually the best player) and it's that person against everyone else. Once someone gets hit, they become infected and join the infected side's team. Essentially, the last person standing who does not get infected wins the match. This was not only a terrific way to end our day, but a great way to use up all the paint we had left. During the last game, I had gotten hit while running, fell, and pulled my calf muscle (hurts a LOT). Tom immediately saw this and stopped the game temporarily so that I could hobble off the field. Tom had asked if I needed medical or a ride back to the main location, and I said no and that I was good. I was able to walk it off, so I asked Tom to continue the game for the rest of the group, but I was done for the day. This was a great way to end our time at Cousin's Paintball in Calverton. As mentioned, the day wasn't going too well but Cousin's certainly turned it around for us and gave me a Father's Day I will not soon forget! I highly recommend Cousin's for a group outing. Just make sure you know exactly what you are getting, and confirm everything on the phone and when you arrive. All in all, it was a great time at the...
Read moreWas very disappointed in our experience. Had my son’s 10th birthday here. When I booked the party the staff told me that Gellyball was more appropriate for our age group. I had 15 kids. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate and the only covered tables were taken by a group of adults. The boys played anyway in the rain but their guns kept breaking. During the full 1.5 hours 4-6 boys were out dealing with broken guns at any given point. The staff are a bunch of young kids who aren’t very knowledgeable on fixing the situation and directly told us these guns don’t work very well and break all the time. Why would you book a party knowing that? We drove 45 minutes and stood in the rain and the kids didn’t even get the full time we paid for. We had to complain 3 times and the manager actually had the nerve to tell us that 75% of the guns were working and that was okay. It was more like 50%. We were finally given a partial refund for the trouble but doesn’t change the fact that the whole experience put a damper on my son’s birthday. Would not recommend for...

Objectives were sporadic, but the field is solid. Plenty of places to hide. I recommend that they get neon arm bands for teams next time. Red and blue tape is cheesy and can blend with outfits. Also stricter on clothing rules for events. Was super confusing sometimes. Other than that, while my usual spot is closed for renovations, I will be back and hopefully with better refs. Unbiased refs are literally the most important staff at any venue. Update: so I went to another event and a couple of open play days and had a blast for both. They went with the arm bands like I suggested and it made a world of difference. The event was great, Summer Reign, and actually won the MVP for my team. The open plays are also a blast. The fields are separated clearly for the small games with clear objectives. I love how they handle new players, placing them with vets so they can get a good footing. Overall definitely changed to...
