Wine Country Deli & Catering — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

So we had been there a few times. Staff was nice and very quick. Sandwiches were great as well. We also bought a lemon blueberry pie which was delicious. Returned on another day and bought another lemon blueberry pie, and that’s not what was inside when I brought it home. It was a different flavor. Still good though. When I went back again, I told them of their error and was told sorry but it happens. Next time we went there I purchased another blueberry lemon pie, opened it and took a quick glance to make sure it was the correct pie. It was!! Happily I took it home and when I opened it later for desert, and low and behold it had small spots of mold in a few places. I was told I could return it. I went back and returned it but of course they had no more of that kind. I picked another one, the girl said oh sorry. And that was it. My first career was in the restaurant business, and I would have bent I er backwards for a customer with these problems. L would have definitely given them the replacement pie and probably a small gift certificate towards another purchase of anything in the store. I’m just saying you should make your customer happy. Things happen and I get that , but the acknowledgement was sub par for my troubles. Haven’t been back since, and my friends who have gone there were shocked at the outcome...

I've bragged about Steve and wine country deli for a while now, but after today's pathetic sandwich I am done. Sorry won't be back. $80+ on 3 heros and (2)½lbs of cole slaw, to feel robbed, no thank you. I call to get an explanation on how could this be this awful this quick, she talks over me to tell me they weigh everything and I don't know what im talking about. Avoid this place!! Maybe Steve sold or maybe the people working there gave up, either way, DO NOT go here. Not even a full cutlet on a hero, forgot the bacon I paid for and forgot the mayo. Breakfast earlier this week was equally as horrible, $11 BEC no cheese and 1 strip of bacon........ another once phenomenal deli gone to sheet!! So sad, I used to love this place......😭 Time to mass text my 1100 contacts to avoid this joint and apologize that I once...

Wine Country Deli is hands down one of the best spots around. I stop here every morning and always look forward to their honey maple turkey, egg, and cheese—it’s absolutely amazing! The portion is just right, and the price is very reasonable.

The staff make the experience even better. They’re always welcoming, with smiles and great attitudes. It’s clear they care about their customers.

We also order lunch from here at the office pretty often, and it’s always a hit. There’s a solid variety, so everyone can find something they like—and no one’s ever disappointed.

Consistently delicious food and genuinely kind people make this place a gem....
