I love Rottkamps! A true family farm. Always a good collection of local and traded produce! Never disappoints. I can’t understand why someone would give this place a one star. Over a couple bucks? This is a family owned farm, and they break their backs to bring produce to the Long Island family table!

Tip: Rottkamps offers some of the best and intimate U-PICK fields. Just a little bit further of a drive but you avoid the hoards of people. Look out for the sunflower field this year! Last year the owner was kind enough to allow people into it for free because it didn’t meet his expectations! Can’t say that for another location which charged to walk through a dead field of sunflowers! Will be well worth the price of admission.

The Watermelon (especially the yellow ones) and Corn (The Best corn!) are not to be missed!

All the produce there whether from the farm or brought in, is a far step above the grocery store.

And no, I don’t work for this farm. It reminds me of what “out-East” was before the...

Two farms in one. A farmstand with all kinds of veggies and flowers and wooden attractions to keep the wee ones entertained. Then two houses down a fun farm. No entrance fee. Find and pick your own pumpkins. Face in a hole boards for all ages. A corn maze to get lost in for a bit. Definitely an enjoyable time.

** Please note this summers weather was not kind to the east end farmers in any location. The pumpkins do not do well sitting in mud for 11 of 16 summer weeks as the were trying to grow into huge good for us to use for holiday decorations and tasty food fare. But we had a great time tromping through the field at Fox Hollow and Rottkamps farms finding our trophy pumpkins...

We come here once a year for the sunflower maze. We enjoy the play vehicles that the kids play on. Though they took the fake cows away that kids could get on. The food trucks are a delight and a nice treat. At the sun flower maze there are a few big chairs set up for pictures. Which is good seeing I like to torture my kids by posing them for photos. They have some other photo props along the way. They have a big platform you can walk up to view...

In a small town where everyone is generally nice and friendly, the owners of this farm stood out. They are very rude and told one of the customers " i dont really care how much they sell the sunflowers down the road, you can drive and get it there if you want!" Aside from it being very expensive $8 for a sunflower bunch and .75 per ear of corn vs. .55, the owners and cashiers are very very unprofessional. 1 star is only for the playground structure.
