Long Island Poultry is an absolute gem, and my family and I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for us over the past two months. After a summer that was heavy with grief, setbacks, and devastating experiences with dishonest poultry sales—including being sold roosters misrepresented as hens, which left my children heartbroken—we were blessed to find Long Island Poultry. From the very beginning, they have been nothing short of extraordinary. Their communication has been consistent, kind, and genuine. They went above and beyond to help us transition our flock smoothly, answering every question I had with patience and care. Each interaction has been filled with sincerity, professionalism, and true compassion—qualities that are rare to come across in business today. What sets them apart is not only their knowledge and integrity, but also their warmth. They have made us feel seen, heard, and supported during a very difficult time. Their farm is beautiful, their poultry is exceptional, and their vegetable stand is equally outstanding. Every visit has been a reminder of what it means to be treated with honesty and respect. I was so happy with my purchase of 3 chickens. Jessica was so very kind to help me even though they were closed. (I had misunderstood when she said Monday AND Friday and thought I heard Monday to Friday. My bad.) 1 because I traveled 40 minutes and 2 because the website mistakenly put opened for that day. We had originally asked for 3 chickens but my friend picked a particular 4th chick and Jessica graciously tried to catch it. Breaking 2 nets trying. Guess we were only meant to have 3. We are so happy with our chicks. First of all we drove an hour and found it to be very scenic. Upon getting to LIP it was on a very accessible corner and you park, walk in and everything is right there. They had a list of what they had up on a board with prices. There were so many to choose from. They are BEYOND knowledgeable and answered, friendly, every question we asked and even gave us some tips. The. When we were done he suggested I record a video of him telling me who is what, which I have on replay till I remember! They do offer coops and other great essentials. I’m sure it will be no time before we are heading back out...
