My sister had made a reservation for Sunday, May 30 with which we received a confirmation, she had made this reservation more than two months in advance, and I particularly wanted to visit and revisit a beautiful experience that I had back in 2005 at Jamesport vineyards. Coming in from Florida after Covid it was supposed to be like a coming Home experience and we are particular chose your vineyard to celebrate. We were a party of four, my mother who is handicap and recently diagnosed with cancer was also looking forward to celebrating. When we arrived it was raining, and there were several empty tables and places at the bar, again due to the weather, there was also a covered patio in the back but it looks like no one was serving out there, Although we would’ve been fine with that as well, Since our reservation was originally booked for outdoors. We were told that our reservation was canceled by text, the night before, no sorry no anything, and that they could not accommodate us for even a celebratory glass of wine. I was really wanting to sample wines because I have a wedding coming up in October and I was looking to buy several cases for that as well. The blonde manager, who was quite rude and seemed inept at her position, was not customer service oriented at all, there were several things she could have done to accommodate us , she instead kept insisting that I disappointed her because of the weather and she has no control of the weather,, I was very understanding of the weather situation and was trying to make the best of it, and clearly it would be hard for me to believe that you would just cancel a potential client instead of trying to receive them somewhere. And if that is impossible at the time like I said we would’ve had a glass and been on our way, but none of that was an option for her . Sadly this was not the first time, and we had another friend who had difficulty getting in or had an issue with the reservation, I will not be trying again and it will just have to remain a memory from the past I’m really sad about this. I just wish that simple compassion and ingenuity would have clicked for the...
Read moreI wish I could give zero or negative stars!!! This place is RACIST! We had a reservation at 4:30 pm on a Wednesday afternoon, on a rainy day, literally 2 people were in there.. we called ahead and told them we would be in a van, not a commercial van or tour van, just our own personal vehicle… they said it was ok and took our deposit..no problem . Once we parked and a few of us got out, a woman named Rachel came out screaming at us saying we are not allowed in because of “our vehicle” she had no explanation as to why, we explained we called and spoke to someone and made a deposit she wouldn’t even get a manager…that was her only response! She was so rude and nasty and it made no sense. I asked her very respectfully what was the purpose of them not allowing us to be there and she blatantly said she doesn’t know why we just can’t be there… again the place was EMPTY! Don’t come to this establishment they clearly have horrible customer service amongst other issues. Then as we were leaving the police showed up… she called 911! Again no reason we were not belligerent or disrespectful, just Hispanic! Which was clearly her real problem! When the cops arrived they saw there was nothing on our end wrong and saw how she lied when she called them. We had a wonderful day, no issues anywhere else. But sad as I read their reviews, I see we are not the only ones who have been discriminated against or treated this way, it’s who they are! They are horrible human beings, obviously. Don’t waste your time or money when there are so many other beautiful vineyards with kind employees working there in the area! They should be ashamed of themselves how they...
Read moreNot friendly owner Ron, not a people person. ...Arrived at 2pm with my parents to celebrate my sisters 58th birthday....7 of us. Was greeted with friendly waitress. Ordered cheese(s), crackers, Salemi and pizza. Waitress brought us wines to sample...ordered 2 bottles. Then after 1/2 hour ordered another 2 pizza pies + 2 bottles of wine. My other sister arrived with Husband and her 2 boys of 4 and 7yrs old. Very quite children playing with game on phone. Problem started..... My husband went to Car to get 1/2 sandwich in a small brown bag for the 4 yr old that his grandma made him. That’s when the owner interrogated my husband. Fine! Get it no food. It’s small 1/2 sandwich for a kid. But, it was in his approach, as if he was carrying in 9ft hereo. But, then continued to have security watch and eye us. After my husband put 1/2 sandwich back in the car. Then the owner Ron was ease dropping on conversation while ordering another bottle of wine at the bar and started in again with us. Treating us as we where some 20 year old college kids making a ruckus. We where All sitting there enjoying ourself. That my 7 yr old nephew said people not nice here, as he was playing with his 81 year grandfather on the field. Place Not that busy and not many people sitting outside. We cleaned up after ourselves before leaving and was not feeling welcome at all after spending over $400.00. What terrible business owners. Treating people like that. As in the movie “Pretty Women” when you treat and judge people. Big Big...
