I recently hiked the Lime Kiln Trail off the Empire State Trail and had to park across from St. Peter's Catholic Church. The closest Google location to this is the Mohonk Preserve Giant’s Ledges Trailhead, with parking at 720 Binnewater Road.
At the Mohonk Preserve, you can enjoy scenic beauty, outdoor activities, and peace and quiet, all just 90 miles from New York City. The Preserve offers perfect trails for hiking, running, mountain biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. It’s also home to the renowned “Gunks” climbing and bouldering, making it one of the most visited climbing destinations in North America.
The Lime Kiln Trail was AMAZING! The views were incredible, and it was an easy trail to navigate. It's easy to miss but will be on your right when you enter from Mountain Road. Be sure to use AllTrails as it's listed there!
