Plattekill Mountain Weddings & Events — Attraction in Town of Roxbury

We had our wedding at Plattekill Mountain 5/7/22. We are avid snowboarders, so we were looking for a mountaintop wedding. Plattekill Mountain had checked every box we could have hoped for and had gone above and beyond for us to make our dream wedding a reality. We had scheduled a tour about a year in advance where we were met by the owners Danielle & her husband Lazlo. Danielle was very patient and transparent with us. Throughout the planning process, Danielle was easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. Danielle, as well as the entire Plattekill team, was very organized in putting together our total package and communicating ALL the costs and intricacies of each package. There were no hidden fees. Everything was very clear and straight forward. Danielle also served as the day of coordinator for our event helping to direct people from the ski lift to their chairs for the ceremony, cocktail hour to dinner and etc. Our guests loved the idea of taking the chair lift up to the mountain top and it really made for a perfect aesthetic of a mountain getaway we were looking to create for our wedding. The ceremony area on top of the mountain is just stunning with beautiful country and mountain views. You don’t really need much in terms of floral décor because the mountain backdrop is just prefect and sets the tone for your ceremony. Danielle has a great team supporting her as well. Lisa, the bar manager at Plattekill, was absolutely amazing to work with as well as extremely knowledgeable in her spirits. We gone with the premium alcohol package, and she was able to create all our signature cocktails using top shelf ingredients. As a great mixologist, Lisa had sourced actual Lychee’s from nearby Albany to complete the Lychee martini signature cocktail we wanted. The catering vendor we went through was suggested by Plattekill and did not fall short of anything less than spectacular. Full moon catering had curated our cocktail hour, dinner service and cake. We cannot boast enough to the amazing talent behind Henry, Adam and their team at Full Moon. The food was delicious and the plating presentation was delightful. We are absolutely at a loss for words to describe how incredible our wedding at Plattekill Mountain was. From the moment we pulled up to the venue, we knew this place was something truly special. The breathtaking scenery alone sets the stage for a magical day, but what really makes Plattekill stand out is the incredible team behind it. Danielle, Autumn, Shannon, Bob, and every single person we interacted with went above and beyond in ways we couldn’t have imagined.

This venue is gorgeous, but it’s the staff that truly makes it shine. They are so well-polished, so professional, and yet so warm and caring at the same time. It’s clear that they’re not just in the wedding business—they’re creating memories and crafting perfect experiences with love and intention. From day one, they made us feel like our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us.

Every little detail was handled with such care, and every suggestion they gave us made our day that much more magical. There is something undeniably special happening at Plattekill Mountain, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had our wedding there. Our friends and family are still telling us it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and we agree—it was the best weekend of our lives.

Plattekill Mountain was the perfect venue for our wedding. To get the obvious out of the way, it is exceptionally beautiful. The Catskills is an amazing place to have a wedding in general, but Plattekill being a ski lodge is a unique difference that provides an unforgettable experience. Our wedding date was perfectly picked to sync up with the leaves turning colors, so all of our guests could not stop commenting on how wonderful the location was.

Despite the stunning locale, our wedding wouldn't have gone off nearly as well without the help from the team over at Plattekill. Autumn, Danielle, and Shannon were always in contact to answer any questions we had and provided us with packets and information that made sure we were prepared and had everything we needed to make sure our day went off without a hitch. They're friendly, helpful, supportive, and good at their jobs, and we are grateful for their support.

And we cannot state enough how amazing it is to have access to the venue for the entire week ahead of our date. We arrived at the venue on the Wednesday before our wedding to begin setting up, and since we did all diy decorations having that time allowed us to make sure everything was set up perfectly. The combination of location and staff alone makes Plattekill a perfect wedding location, but this made it an even easier decision.
