Nice to watch how mirror danceIt sounds like visiting the Emerson Kaleidoscope in the foothills of the Catskills Mountains offers a truly unique and memorable experience. Standing at an impressive 60 feet tall and 37.5 feet in diameter, the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope promises a captivating show for visitors. For just $5.00, guests can enjoy a 10-minute display that they can watch lying down or sitting, adding to the novelty of the experience.

After the show, the opportunity to explore the store further enriches the visit. The range of merchandise, from smaller kaleidoscopes to beautifully crafted scopes made of various materials like wood, brass, chrome, marble, and glass, showcases artistry and creativity. Each scope is unique, signed by the artist, and some even feature interchangeable parts, making them true works of art.

The practical aspects, such as ample parking for both regular and handicapped visitors, and the serene beauty of the blooming garden outside, enhance the overall appeal of the Emerson Kaleidoscope. With operating hours from 10 am to 5 pm daily (closed on Wednesdays), it's accessible for most schedules.

In conclusion, the Emerson Kaleidoscope not only provides entertainment with its impressive show but also offers an enriching shopping experience, making it a highly recommended destination for those seeking a blend of art, relaxation, and unique attractions in the...

The actual experience of being inside the world's largest kaleidoscope wasn't as cool as I hoped it would be. It was still cool though. I think, with more planning and engineering, this attraction could have been much better. But, I'm not an expert on oversized kaleidoscopes. So, I won't pretend to be. Like most of the other reviews state, for $5 you get a 10 minute projected show displayed on the mirrored kaleidoscope dome. The show is free for those staying at the attached resort hotel. If you're staying at the hotel anyway, of course you may as well check it out. Or, if you're visiting the area anyway (as we were), it's my opinion that it's worth it to make a detour and check out the kaleidoscope show. But, as others have said, it is uncomfortable to use the leaning planks inside the kaleidoscope. However, I couldn't bring myself to lay down on the floor. The kaleidoscope gift shop was neat and had some kaleidescope creations on display that were very visually appealing. There are other gift shops at the resort as well, all connected together. Word of warning if you go: plan your travel ahead of time and don't plan on relying on your cell phone, as you probably won't have any service at the resort or in the surrounding...

The Emerson Kaleidoscope, located in Mount Tremper, New York, is a truly unique and mesmerizing experience. Housed within a repurposed silo on the grounds of the Emerson Resort & Spa, it holds the Guinness World Record for the largest kaleidoscope in the world.

This extraordinary attraction is more than just a visual spectacle. Stepping inside the 60-foot-tall, 38-foot-diameter silo is like entering another dimension. As you lie back and gaze upward, you're enveloped in a kaleidoscope of ever-changing colors and patterns. The accompanying sound design enhances the immersive experience, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

After the kaleidoscopic journey, explore The Shops at Emerson. Here, you'll find a delightful array of boutiques offering everything from fashion and home decor to unique gifts. The Kaleidostore is a must-visit, featuring a stunning collection of kaleidoscopes in various sizes and styles.

The Emerson Kaleidoscope is a perfect destination for families, couples, or solo adventurers seeking a one-of-a-kind experience. It's a captivating blend of art, science, and wonder.

We paid $6 per person and the show ran for about 15 minutes. Dogs are allowed...
