We paid $6 per person and the show ran for about 15 minutes. Dogs are allowed in the shops!

Believe it or not this place is a blast. The show is nothing like you've seen anywhere else and I highly suggest that you lay on the floor when you go. This place is comparable to an acid trip or a surreal experince of lights and sounds and reverberations. If you love kaleidoscopes this is your mecca. I learned a lot about them in the gift shop that's for sure. If your lucky they have some very high-end kaleidoscopes they'll let you play with and handle if your 18 and there not too busy. I would definitely go back to see it again if I was in the area. It's fun for the whole family or even for a date. I'm sure that every school in the area has probably already had a trip here and if they haven't they really should book a trip. There's a lot of fun stuff in the gift shop as well.

"I recently visited the Emerson Scalidoscope and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. As the world's largest scalidoscope, it was truly awe-inspiring and I had so much fun exploring all of its intricacies. The outside of the scalidoscope was beautifully illuminated by fresh candles, which added to the already amazing atmosphere of the place. Additionally, the shops within the Emerson Scalidoscope were absolutely amazing. The variety of products and the quality of each item were impressive and I couldn't resist purchasing a few things to take home with me. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Emerson Scalidoscope. It was an incredible adventure filled with amazing views and fantastic shopping opportunities. I can't wait to go back!"

this was a mind-blowing experience! I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. The lady at the counter was super friendly and knowledgeable about kaleidoscopes and this one in particular. Her passion really shows. I saw someone else’s review from a few weeks ago that said that she needs a raise. I agree! Then it was time for the show. I laid down on the floor to watch it and oh my god… such a surreal experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS. this is definitely something that you should experience at least once in your lifetime. The visuals are STUNNING. Also, there’s a gift shop that you can shop at afterwards for souvenirs too, so that’s a nice added bonus :)

Only $5 to view the kaleidoscope. You can lay on the floor, sit in a chair, or lean against these standing tracks they have. I personally got dizzy looking up and left the 10 min show a little early. It’s basically three massive mirrors and a large projection screen, so it’s not like there’s a bunch of colorful glass above your head or anything, but it is very pretty. There are also a ton of cute shops and kaleidoscopes you can purchase, as well as a hotel attached. There is handicapped parking, electric vehicle charging stations, and even a playground and a field on the other side of the hotel.

Description
The Kaatskill Kaleidoscope is the world's largest kaleidoscope, measuring 56 feet in height. It is located in Mount Tremper, New York. It is housed in a converted grain silo. It was designed by 1960s psychedelic artist Isaac Abrams and his son Raphael. It cost $250,000 to build and opened in 1996.
