Exquisite meats! We ordered the country pate, the smoked beef eye round, the smoked pork sirloin, and pastrami. I admit to never having had a smoked pork sirloin before, and that was my favorite. They cut it beautifully thin (see photos) and it was wonderful with some cheese and bread. The person helping us with the order was very knowledgeable and upbeat and clearly enjoyed working there and was proud of the products. The store was well laid out, and offered a variety of other products, but the meats really shine here!

Real food, high standards on all ingredients, great place to stop for a healthy, farm to table experience. So far everything I’ve tried, from the fermented beets to a Vietnamese Bao liver sandwich to the custard frozen cream has been made to perfection with skill and love. You can find frozen free range chicken legs and fresh bread.. There is hand spun wool and handmade soap. Lots of artistic touches and artisan products. Go go go

I have thoroughly enjoyed 8 Hands Farm and Fyr and Salt café ever since they opened this spring. 8 Hands has delicious, humanely raised, grass fed, pasture raised meats, along with a market filled with carefully curated items. The cafe, led by Fyr and Salt has the best sandwiches and prepared foods, all made with ingredients from the farm. Oh, and their coffee is some of the best around.

I am incredibly disappointed with the service and lack of respect I was dealt today by 8 Hands.

To start, I am a very frequent customer - I come and eat at the farm more than once a week on average, spending hundreds of dollars a month.

Today I had to make a ferry at 12pm in Orient Point, and only had 30 minutes to spare to pick up my food. I called and asked a favor, if I could order my sandwich over the phone and pickup in person. I spoke to Ava, who said they typically don’t do orders like this, but after I told her my situation, she agreed, saying they would make an exception for me which I greatly appreciated.

When I arrived and went to the counter to speak to pickup my order, Ava told me the kitchen “forgot” about my order and that I would have to wait 30 minutes for them to make it. I reminded her about my time crunch, and she suddenly became very rude with me and told me it’s my fault for ordering over the phone, even though she had told me she would honor the order over the phone.

Awful experience that was not handled well at all. A business should honor what they agree to, or at least show a humane level of respect to their customers. I love to support small, local businesses. Such a shame, won’t be coming...

Me, my wife, and our toddler son have been coming to 8 hands for one year now. We drive almost 2 hours away from Nassau county. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but it is also extremely fresh and extremely healthy. I am so happy we found this farm. It has all made us much more healthier, and it helped me lose a ton of weight. It's amazing the difference from the supermarket to 8hands. I will never have my family eat from the supermarket when we have 8hands on Long Island. It is family owned and operated and they do such an...

Overpriced and quality of meat is lower then meat with diapers from some cheap supermarket. Pork grilled over charcoal and hardwood does not smell, tastes like old animal and it has intense bad pig smell. Small peace of pork between $40-50. At least twice or 2.5x times more expensive compared to an expensive and excellent Italian butcher shop in my neighborhood. This is probably the most expensive pork I've ever purchased and I would say one of the worst.

Employees are polite but I went there for fresh meat,...
