Springwater Saxeville Covered Bridge — Attraction in Town of Springwater

Lovely wooden bridge built by community volunteers back in 1997. The previous bridge needed replacement, and the community wanted a picturesque covered bridge, which was opposed by the Department of Transportion. Ultimately, the $50,000 cost was covered via fundraisers and volunteer labor, hence the name "Springwater Volunteer Bridge".

What a gift! One can stand on the bridge, look downstream and listen. The experience is so tranquil, so calming.

Beautiful bridge with lots of shade and a lively stream. The associated park is well cared for with a gazebo and planted flowers. Pets weren't welcome according to posted signs. Signage across from the park indicated that the property there is a studio, and photos were prohibited. I'm sure it's to keep people off...
