We headed over to Anthony Road Winery on 7/30 and were greeted and seated quickly for a tasting. There are a number of tasting flights to choose from, depending on your palate. I did two of the flights and my husband did one and then ordered a full glass. The space itself is lovely and very modern. The back of the winery looks out over the vineyard and beyond that, the lake, which makes for a beautiful view. The tasting is well done and reminded us of some of the tastings we did in Italy, where a mat is placed in front of you and the glasses placed on the mat above a description of each of the wines you are trying. The flights are delivered with some crackers for clearing the palate in between and our server was attentive and informative, describing each wine carefully and with detail. We enjoyed chatting with her about her passion for wine and the region. The wines were quite good and we enjoyed many of them - particularly the dry riesling, the vignoles, and the pinot gris, as well as the unoaked chardonnay and the rose. After your tasting flight, you can take a seat outside with a glass and order some charcuterie. On the day we were there, a food truck was on the premises (My Eva) serving Mexican food. We had a DELICIOUS chicken quesadilla that we took to go for the road. A little greasy, but so well seasoned, cheesy and delicious. Yum! Overall, a great experience at Anthony Road - would definitely recommend if you're...

This was the second of four wineries we visited. It was listed as tending toward more organic/natural practices. It does have an adorable, well-labeled garden out back with many food and pollinator plants and a charming grape arbor, but we were unable to discover any details of their growing practices because the server, though she said she had worked there for many years, did not know.

We called ahead for a reservation and they had space for us immediately. The tasting room was gorgeous: a large, high-ceilinged space open to the outside. There were a few other occupied tables but they were far enough away and the space was open enough to the outside that we were comfortable in these times of COVID. They had a number of interesting flights as well. I chose one that showcased two grapes in different styles (Riesling and Gewurztraminer with and without skin contact and one barrel aged). Unfortunately the wines were undistinguished. One tasted strongly unpleasant to me. This was the only of the three natural wineries where we did not buy any bottles to take home.

Still, there was a large selection and we tried only a few, so perhaps other of their wines are better. The experience itself was very pleasant, and I loved the garden, so I would consider giving them another chance, researching the wines beforehand to know...

Perfect in every way! Natalee was such a pleasure to work with. I organized a group getaway for 20 friends. I had my heart set on a wine dinner. After calling multiple wineries that could not accommodate our group I reached out to Natalee at Anthony Road and she was happy to entertain my request. I read such positive reviews but had no idea that we were in for such a spectacular treat. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our experience. The winery is just beautiful. We arrived at sunset and were able to enjoy the gardens. The artwork and decor are exquisite. The table setting was right out of a magazine. The food and the wine were beyond amazing and perfectly paired. The chef was kind enough to come out and answer questions about how he prepared our meal and tell us about the local ingredients that he used. I just can’t say enough about Anthony Road Wine Company. Thank you Natalee and staff for a...

When my wife and I arrived, we were very skeptical when we heard that all you offered was a "flight". This presentation was different from what we know as a traditional tasting. However,...we actually enjoyed the flight. Our server Gate was very attentive and personable. We were there on Wednesday 9/4/24 in the early afternoon, the winery was not crowded at all. We liked the presentation of the different flights. We liked that each wine was poured in its own individual wine glass. When we went to Ventosa, they too offered a flight, however, only one of the five wines was poured in an actual wine glass, the other four were in plastic shot cups. A pathetic presentation!!! Our experience at Anthony Rhodes was positive!!! Thanks Gate!!!!

Anthony Road Wine Company is a fantastic stop, not just for wine, but also for its beautiful aesthetics. Both the indoor space and the outdoor lawn are incredibly picturesque, making it a perfect spot for taking photos. When it comes to tasting, they offer a well-structured experience. I opted for a tasting flight, and you can choose from three distinct options: the Dry White Flight, the Dry White, Rosé, and Red Flight, or the Semi-Sweet Flight. Each flight consists of five different wines. I personally went with the Dry White and Rosé selection, and I found the wine composition to be thoughtfully curated. It's a wonderful place to enjoy some great wines in a lovely setting, with plenty of opportunities for memorable pictures!

In the area "glamping" at Sampson and wanted to try some area wineries that we hadn't been to before. Based on reviews, we wanted to try out Anthony Road Wine Company. Upon arrival you are greeted inside the door by friendly staff that explains what they offer as well as seating options. We chose to be outside where they had a food truck (there on a Saturday). They also have an area setup for Halloween that was pretty unique and worth the walk over to checkout. One item that was really nice is they have an area with grape vines (labeled by variety). You can pick them off the vine and try them! The wines were refreshing and the stop enjoyable!
