I discovered Pacem In Terris a few years back. I did not realize what a gem of place it was and for years had driven past it not realizing what I was missing. The metal sculptures of Frederick Franck are amazing. You can find about 30 of these pieces throughout the grounds. Franck was a visionary of peace and human oneness. The place itself is a piece of art filled with more art. There are spots to quietly reflect and think. You can watch the Waywayanda Creek babble by or sit in solace in a garden grove. Franck's retelling of the Zen parable entitled "The Tao of the Cross & The Oxherding Parable" is awe-inspiring. Franck ties Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, and nature into his work.
