WONDERFUL: We visited Shalimar Alpacas Farm this week. A fantastic time meeting Patricia and her Alpacas. Their farm is wonderful with many Alpacas to pet and feed. They have beautiful farm with many friendly dogs also who's interactions with us and the Alpacas was a memorable experience. We would highly recommend a visit when in the lower New York area. Note that the Alpacas had a full coat of wool and are usually sheared in the late Spring. However we had such a good time and Patricia was so knowledgeable we believe any time of the year is well worth the visit. All of the Alpaca products in their shop are also well made and reasonably priced. We would visit again.

Our visit to the Shalimar Alpacas farm was a fantastic city getaway and a wonderful experience. The farm boasts about 50+ alpacas, chickens, dogs and cats. The alpacas are gorgeous, gentle, curious, and fabulously soft. Olivier was incredibly kind and welcoming. He gave us a thorough overview of how alpacas live, how they are bred and the intricacies of their wool. We were so smitten we almost canceled our Saturday plans to come back a second day! We highly recommend a visit!

Cute alpaca farm! Called ahead to make a reservation a day prior for 4th of July, and the lady was very responsive and helpful. Little over an hour drive from NYC, and lots of cute activities to do in the area. The alpacas are very friendly and spent quite a bit at the farm. You can feed them and take pictures with them. She was also very informative about alpacas and sold very cute merchandise at her store! Would definitely visit again.

My fiancé and I visited this “private home” after being referred by a friendly local store owner who provided us with a guide to Warwick that references Shalimar Alpaca farm and store as a public activity.....“Visit our farm and store” the advertisement reads. Upon arrival there were a slew of confusing signs, enter around the corner says one sign, no trespassing says another, the gate saying closed was open. So confusing. Anyhow, we pull up politely and slowly look around for a person so we can pay before looking at the farm. We are abruptly “greeted” by a rude older, disheveled run down women who was wearing a shalimar alpaca shirt. Who snaps and snarls “by appointment only”... my oh my are we sorry we even pulled up. Maybe your advertisement should specify by appointment only. After getting our heads bitten off by Medusa we were literally escorted out of the gate as if we were thiefs... despite our arrival in a nice car and appropriate attire. I never write mean reviews but we left feeling so awful. Thanks a lot old lady. Do not visit this awful site. Terrible...

My family and I had the best time at Shalimar! We went with our 2 kids. The owner is a lovely woman, and has the most beautiful alpaca. The farm is at her personal home so you must call to make an appointment before going. The fee is very reasonable and worth every dollar. We had almost an hour of up close time with her 50-60 alpaca, and some baby alpaca that were the most adorable creatures ever. We learned so much about them, and even got to hold a baby. We also bought some really cool things in her shop. I highly recommend this experience. We will...
