Applewood Winery — Attraction in Town of Warwick

We've been there before about 3 years ago and decided to return since I found out on the website they had flights and cider donuts pairing as well as private cabanas .

Initially the experience was great as I requested info on the website and right the way received a txt from Dylan who was so awesome and answered all my questions , he made everything so much easier when it comes to understanding what I was getting and how things worked .

Once I got there I spoke to a lady who immediately found my server who walked us to our cabana . Our servers name was Jenny and she was absolutely THE BEST, very attentive and helpful since I told her this was my boyfriend's bday celebration .she was on point always checking on us and making sure everything was good .

The cabana was adorable and very comfortable and the donuts were great too .

We tried a new wine called Summer Fields and chilled is so GOOD and refreshing . We also loved the Harvest one as it has an apple taste , very very good .

The pizza was excellent .

Now to the down part :( Last time we were there they had a bad bathroom outside and I wrote a review about that in hopes it would be better this time , well NOT REALLY :( the one bathroom that they had inside was clogged and all we had left yet again were the disgusting portable bathrooms outside .. that was certainly a downer .

Aside from that the view is beautiful but they MUST address this bathroom situation . Hopefully the next time we go back I'll be able to write a 5...

What a TERRIBLE experience. I would not go here again. Terrible management. Would give zero stars if I could.

We came here for Mother’s Day with our 18 month old daughter. We ordered a wine flight and a cocktail (plus a bunch of food) to start. They brought out two wine flights and a plate of three mini cupcakes that seemed to accompany the order. We immediately said that wasn’t our order. Confusion ensues, no big deal. They take one of the flights away and leave a flight and the cupcakes. Obviously our daughter immediately crushes a cupcake (her review was that they were great). A couple minutes later the wait staff comes back with the second flight of wine. Once again, we say that we didn’t order two flights. We figure out they left the incorrect flight the first time. We switch them out to correct the error. The cupcakes stay and obviously as an 18 month old, another gets eaten. Ten mins later the waitress comes back with a message from the manager; Since we ate the cupcakes and drank one glass of the other flight of wine (the incorrect one they dropped off, unlabeled btw), we will have to pay for the cupcakes and the wine, despite having not ordered them. I felt bad for the waitress. Having to do the coward managers dirty work can’t be enjoyable. I don’t understand the thinking. It made the entire experience extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn’t go within a mile of this place again. Bad management will rear its head again and...

The view and greenery at this vineyard is beautiful. I wish I can say the same for their service and wine selection. We were a group of eight women (reservation was made online). When we arrived they put us in a corner table terrible location. We asked for a table outside we were told they were not available. We found it very odd since there was about 10 or so tables open. The waitress that assisted us was apologetic when we stated we wanted a table outside but were told they were not available. She looked confused herself and went to check with a woman guessing maybe a manager. She came back and told us she was so sorry but no outside sitting. We said ok thank you not your fault but your website needs to be clear about outdoor sitting. We were really upset and felt like our business was not important to them. We sat there looking for another vineyard to go to. A few minutes later the waitress came back with another woman and told us we do have a table outside for you ladies. We thanked her and sat down. Being in the service industry for over three decades I have to say this place lacks in services. The wine was not the best quality. The afternoon was lovely because of the company and the weather was simply beautiful. The live music was nice and entertaining.
