A Delightful Encounter at Wright Family Farm

Driving through the scenic roads of Warwick, New York, I stumbled upon the charming Wright Family Farm. The picturesque setting immediately caught my eye, but what truly piqued my interest was spotting a vibrant cluster of Chicken of the Woods mushrooms high up on a tree. Intrigued, I decided to stop by again the next day.

Upon my return, I met the owner, a genuinely kind and welcoming individual. I asked if I could use my ladder to harvest the mushrooms, and he graciously agreed. With my ladder in place, I carefully climbed up and cut down the beautiful fungi. We decided to split the harvest—half for him and half for me. Little did he know, I also planned to share some with the local homeless community when I cooked it up.

After the successful harvest, I shared a few of my favorite recipes with the owner. His enthusiasm and appreciation were heartwarming. This simple act of kindness and the shared love for nature made the experience truly memorable.

It looked cute from the road but as we entered it changed. The slide was a neat idea for the kids but the bottom of it was dangerous. They had a few goats, an old donkey, a rooster and a chicken for animals. Only had a few working pedal carts for the kids to play with and a cow ride that you have to pay extra for. The free hayride lasted two minutes because it only went from one side of their driveway to the other side of the driveway. The corn maze was the only good part of the visit, which still wasn't that great. The worst of it all was the pumpkins. They already had a freeze, which left the pumpkins rotted or beginning to rot. Just got back from our daughters surprise 8th birthday party. Bobby, John and the staff are the real deal blue collar hardworking farm family. I watched them working nonstop from the time we got there to the time we left, that is rare to see the owners of a facility like this actually busting their humps and ensuring all their guests had a great experience.
