I can see that Casey Park is a beautiful and well kept place just from viewing the photos from other park goers. Albeit, a terrible incident happened there a few days ago which shouldn't bring any blemish to this beautiful serene place. Many families choose to be there for that reason alone. However, I make this post for the little girl, Zyvette Marquez Riviera and her parents. I'm so sorry for your great loss. I'm a mother and grandmother and I've experienced a different type of loss as a mother and grandmother. I never had the opportunity to meet my twins or two grandson because Jesus took them while they were being carried in the womb. The loss you are experiencing is great and you are not alone. I pray for you, her siblings if any and the remaining family. Even though you may not understand know that God cries for you and your loss. I pray one day you will have a certain peace that only Jesus can give you. Lastly, for all parents God Peace and protection for you and...
Read moreThe park is safe and clean, but is a small park bordered by roads, and there isn't very much to do. There is a short hiking trail through the woods around the water. While the trail is in disrepair at points, particularly in the second half, an experienced hiker at a fairly relaxed pace can expect about 30 to 45 minutes of easy gradients. A note: while the trail is fairly easy, the previously mentioned points of disrepair combined with steep adjoining slopes into the water may render the second half of the trail unsuitable for small children. The park also features baseball diamonds, soccer and football fields, canoe rentals, and pavilions suitable for family or group get-togethers. For children, there is a small playground, small sand beach (not really for adults or serious swimmers), and a very small...
Read moreGrowing up in Ontario, casey park was always a go to place to hang out with friends and family. Nice hiking loop around the water... one side is pretty easy and the other is ups and downs. There is a community center, which is huge and has an indoor track. There are also shelters you can rent. Pavillion or two lodges to choose from. We just rented the pavillion for the 4th of July. Quaint beach and spray park area. Huge fields to play ball games in. Playground and swing set! Lots of opportunities to take pictures too! Be careful around the edges of water, there are cliff areas along the trail. Don't leave anyone unattended. Always have a partner if you will be near the water. Lots of fishing too! Will always come back...
