Oppenheim County Park — Attraction in Town of Wheatfield

This park is great. When you pull in there is a big Pond for fishing with tables and benches to just enjoy the view. There is a parking lot right by the Basketball, volleyball courts, and restroom, and there are also a few more restrooms located throughout the park. Once you pass the Courts there is a pretty nice playground with some swings and Tons of picnic benches throughout entire park with alot of them being Handicap friendly.(half of bench is cut with table being long so a person in a wheelchair can sut at the table like everyone else, which was very cool and ive never saw that before) There is also a water splash pad that is free and awesome to bring your kids to on hot days. This park is very big and has another playground on the side with more pavilions for events and parties. Definitely recommend going to this park, whether it be Alone or with your family. Definitely worthwhile!

Great splash pad. Tons of parking. Numerous BBQ grills and picnic tables, pavilions, shade trees. Kids love the playgrounds. Plenty of fields (plain grass and sports) and a large pond for fishing. Tennis courts.

Few minor downsides. Entrance could use a light on Niagara Falls Blvd. Most of the road is a one way loop, the splash pad has a few very slippery spots that many kids and adults seem to hit. There are water retaining "ditches" cutting the central park area into sections. They make a yucky border to get splash pad access, with no real bridges across. Find a dry spot or walk/drive all the way around. They also breed bugs and have a smell. Lastly, the bees. I really think there are just a lot of bees everywhere this year, but there were many people having a hard time with the number of bees here. Can't expect to not see bees at a park, just...

Nice, open park with a couple play areas, a splash pad, and several shelters you can reserve for events. There are volleyball and tennis courts, free to use. As well as many picnic tables around.

There's a small pond near the entrance that I've caught small Sunny's/bluegill in and a couple rest areas.

I've taken my daughter there a few times and always enjoyed it. All the other children have generally been pleasant and the parents attentive, for the most part.
