I canceled my reservation because the front desk staff employee name Ryan was Hostile and Aggressive toward me! This happened on July 12th shortly after I checked in. Once I got in my room I did what I usually do when staying in hotels, I checked the sheets and I saw a stain on the sheet. So I called Priceline, the 3rd party company who l booked my reservation through and complaint and asked to cancel my reservation, I called while getting something to eat from a near by Denny’s and when I came back to the motel and that guy Ryan said to me I thought you was gone and I said why did you think that, he said because you canceled your reservations. I said why would I leave if you refused to give me a refund and he said well you lied and you lied when you first got here. I said to him, what are you talking about?…There is a stain on the sheet but he continue to call me a liar very aggressively and became hostile in the hotel lobby area! I even said to him why are you talking to me like that, I’m a woman and you’re a guy, so stop talking to me and stop calling me out of my name! So with all the yelling he did in the Hotel lobby, I didn't feel comfortable nor safe and was definitely not going to stay there. So I told the woman at the front desk that I wanted to cancel my reservations because the staff name Ryan refuse to cancel my reservation and give me a refund! To be transparent, when I came to the lobby I was going to still stay and I asked the woman staff could someone change my sheets but she said house keeping wasn’t available but she could give clean linen. But once the guy Ryan started acting mentally unstable I was out of there! I have never ever in my life been treated like that and it was the worse experience I’ve ever had while on a trip/vacation! And would you believe I’m still fighting to receive a refund which I don’t understand why Wyndham haven’t refunded my credit card! If I did not stay in the Days Inn & Hotels by Wyndham Niagara Falls on 2821 Niagara Falls Blvd, Niagara Falls, New York 14304 because of safety concerns I'm owe a refund simple as that! I feel Wyndham should issue refunds under circumstances like this one! Wyndham Corp when one of your franchise staff acts mentally unstable like that guy Ryan did toward me, not only should the consumer receive a refund but the employee should no longer be...
Read moreWe had a really great stay here!
We drove up to see the eclipse, and booked this hotel due to location. It was within 20 minutes of Niagra Falls, and it's two blocks away from a really great little park with an excellent playground for kids. There are a ton of restaurants within 20 minutes of the hotel, including some really good wing joints we sampled. For being so close to everything, though, it wasn't a cramped location, and it had a nice parking lot with plenty of spaces. We could see the pool, but being as it was April, we didn't use it. It looked to be a nice size, however.
The room was really spacious. We had the 2 king suite. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The housekeeper was polite and gave us extra cups and trash bags when we needed them. We had no trouble sleeping, and for a completely full hotel, we didn't have any issues with hearing our neighbors.
The staff members were pleasant. We especially liked Scott, one employee at the front desk. He was so friendly and helpful!
The breakfast was plenty good for us. They offered waffles, toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, juices, and coffee. There was only one waffle maker, which made for a long line on eclipse day, but I can't imagine that the hotel usually has quite so many people all staying in it at once. The other 3 days that we were there we walked in, made waffles immediately, and ate right away.
The room TV is cable only, no Netflix or anything. It was a complete non-issue for us, and the channels were totally fine, but I thought it might be good to mention in case it mattered to other people.
A local told us that this hotel was recently remodeled. Whether that is true, I don't know, but the whole hotel was clean and looked very nice. All in all? It was an excellent place to stay, and we would come here again if ever we revisit the...
Read moreHotel was everything a Hotel should be...comfortable, CLEAN, well lit not dark hiding the grungy spots, SAFE, a pool, comp breakfast (enough to sustain you until your next meal 😋) and the Staff actually spoke to you giving pointers on where or what to do. I have to remember to send them pictures when I do visit the Dubai Aquarium, wink, 'cause that's what I do...travel to visit Aquariums, everything else is just extra stuff.
Now this Days Inn (past 100 Street on Niagara Falls Blvd) was a bit far away (only reason for 3-Stars) from the actual US Falls area (near 3rd Street & Rainbow Blvd)...BUT there is a local #59 Bus ($2 fare) that stops right in front of the Days Inn (curbside) or on the corner diagonal from the 7-11 store on Ward St; the Hotel Staff didn't know about. Good thing I always use travel apps (Transit App) when traveling to get the full experience of new places I visit.
That same #59 Bus will take you to a nice 🛍️ shopping center (mall) and to the Bus Transit Center (also clean, well lit) to transfer to another local #50 Bus ($2) that will drop you off right in the middle of all the US Niagara Falls attractions all within walking distance of each Attraction, Souvenir shops and the Welcome Center (1st & Rainbow Blvd) a must place to visit and for proper information. Take full advantage of the $5 Trolley to get you through the Falls Park & the other Blue Shuttle that takes you around the immediate town area. OVERALL, I enjoyed my stay & visit despite being distant from the actual attractions area. -...
