I didn’t want to do this, but we had to.
We originally booked Yuletide weekends. I’m very glad that it was cancelled because I feel like this email would be even worse.
We showed up this morning for breakfast. Our food was cold. Our waitress was incredible, but she can’t be the only reason our breakfast was great and to be justified for the money we spent. Later that day I heard that the food was pushed out before people were seated. That’s not acceptable. We spent a lot of money. Our food was way better in September when we came.
We moved through the day with the understanding that we had big hopes that dinner was going to be the reason we stayed! Wrong! Absolutely wrong! We sat down. Our waitress tried hard (different one this time) you can tell she was overwhelmed. She forgot our salads. Instead of getting frustrated when she brought our dinner out and then asked if we wanted our salads. We just told her it’s a little too late and realized that she must’ve been overwhelmed. We didn’t want to make her night worse.
The food was cold. It was inedible. The ham was dry and the food had absolutely no flavor. We noticed that Santa didn’t even eat it. That’s sad. That should be addressed... Immediately! The dessert (apple crumble) was sour. When I asked the waitress is that was normal she said, “no it shouldn’t be sour” we pushed it away and told her that we were done.
I had seen so many plates sent back with the waitress full of food. That should tell you something.
Leaving dinner, we read on the map, “go to the bakery and grab marshmallows” we were like, “oh great! That sounds like a better end to our night!” Nope! They weren’t included. They were $7.
This was such a missed opportunity! You guys should’ve given your dinner participants S’more kits and sent them on their way into the “lights” for a fun night.
I want this addressed. We spent $400 on two experiences that included our meals that were completely inedible. We didn’t even stay for the lights. We left. We walked right now! I’m so disappointed. I truly wanted this...
Read moreThe kids had a blast, and that was the main thing! We had quite the crew.. I'm 37, and can't walk good. My Gram is 92, and uses a wheelchair and oxygen. My sister, and fiance, have a 2 year old baby, and 4 year old twins! We all maneuvered around all day, and we're able to see mostly everything. We started on the train ride, which all of us, we're able to get on, and ride along smoothly! We made it over to the North Pole, which really is a frozen ice pole! We went and saw the reindeer. Stopped by the hat makers and ordered personalized hats for the kids, that took a few mins to make! We were able to go visit Santa and bring him some cookies the kids made for him! He was a very "good" Santa. His look, energy, and spirit were friendly and welcoming! The kids were also visited by a snowman walking around! I will say that I was very unimpressed with the gift shop! The gift shop is always my favorite part of an excursion! I love shopping, and I love personalized gifts, you can only get at gift shops. I promised the kids I would get them all a shirt or hoodie and the only sizes they had were 2t and under for kids.. And regular adult sizes. They did have some (overpriced) toys, and the twins each picked out a toy, and the baby got a light up animal! They used to have a glass making shop and you could get jewelry with your name on it, but they don't have a glass worker anymore. We went on the last day of the season (Oct. 12) and we were glad everything was up and running. They also had tickets on sale for around $32.00 each instead of the normal 39.99....The baby (under 2) got in free, but admission is the same if you're 3 years old or 93! The route here is very curvy, hilly, etc. We had to pull over once because one of the twins got sick in the backseat. Overall, the kids had a great time, and that is the most important thing to us! A nice little day trip for the family. A little overpriced...
Read moreWhen I was 5 years old I visited this park, it was so magical. I wanted my children to experience the same thing.Dont waste your money! This park has not had any updates since I was 5 years old.
It was terrible we went to the alight a night, I thought with it all lit with christmas lights it would be more magical. There was nothing for kids to do. A slide and a Marry go ride, and to see Santa. When Santa went to go put my child on his lap he responded by saying sorry mom I have a bad back and laughed, yawned and said December has been a long month. Maybe the need to hire a couple of Santa's if he is too tired. They had a talking christmas treee...it was screaming in the microphone saying not so nice things to children definitly not appropriate. I think that person should of been fired immediately. The barn only had three reindeer in the barn. They also had things like getting a christmas ornament that cost money, a gift shop thay cost money, a bake shop that cost money, and also you can have your child's name put on a hat that also cost money....not to mention that you pay the same as a 3 year old as an adult ticket. I am fine with spending money on activities for my kids but this whole park is a money grabber.
My biggest complaint of all, that they do not have wheelchairs for people with disabilities. From the road it does not look like a bad walk, however when you pass the gate it is nothing but hills. They should be ashamed that they don't offer wheelchairs to people that need them!
I have also emailed them a couple of months ago in regards of how dissapointed I was regarding our visit. I didn't even receive a response. That shows you they don't care about their customers. All they care about is making a profit. If I could of gave them a 0 for a rating I would have! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY LOOK AT OTHER PLACES TO BRING...
