Read moreSo much packed into a small space! I’m a career horticulturist, and visited March 30th, and am looking so forward to returning through the growing season! Although very little was blooming yet, I was incredibly impressed with the setting, the layout, and the extraordinary amount of plants (most perennials are native plants!)that are tagged with genus/species/cultivar!! The garden is planted on a large hillside, in a quiet residential area. The paths are serpentine, paved with a substrate that is comfortable to walk on. At the bottom of the hill is a lovely pond, attracting area birds. The Rhododendron and Azalea collection must be heavenly when they’re in bloom! A real bonus is the admission fee - FREE! The gift shop is set in a beautiful building, that offers a large deck overlooking the hill gardens....

It has a very impressive collection of beautiful azaleas and rhododendrons along with a wide variety of plants and trees tucked into a small area. Due to the inclines along the paved paths, this place may be a tough walk for those with bad knees or hips. However, this place is perfect for friends and family of all ages who want to take a quiet, relaxing walk to enjoy the beauty of nature. A bonus is that it is free to visit...
