The visitor center is open Thursday through Sunday 10 to 4. The educational displays are excellent for children of all ages. The outdoor trails are open dawn to dusk. A great place for exceptional bird watching. The gift shop is open with refuge themed gifts. And the park ranger's have new free programs every month, including a youth fishing program.

Great job transformed an old Chrysler automotive site to a wildlife refuge. Water and soil condition is much better than before. Birds , fishes all have a place to migrate to now. Here you can fish off the pier, very popular spot. Kayak , running, bird watching are also popular too.

To get out to see different sites nice little road walking on a Walker's path and they got a little kayaks small little lakes right there I got some things going for over there.

Wow, what a great place! We kayaked out of here, headed upstream and made it to the Thorofare Canal. Exited out the other side, cut back up through Hennepin Point and paddled back down!
