Violetas Tailoring LLC — Attraction in Trenton

My best friend of 20+ years used Violetas for her bridesmaid dress alteration. To give context, my friend wears a size XS and when she was younger she had an eating disorder. She no longer does, but still struggles, as we all do, with her self image- even as a petite woman.

The seamstress, Anna, thought it was appropriate to negatively comment on my friends weight, both at the initial measurements and the pickup. My friend even went on a diet due to her rude comments at the initial measurements, and was met with a "maybe you shouldn't eat until the big day" at her final fitting.

I am disgusted , appalled and yes angry on behalf of my friend. How dare this woman. How dare she think she has the right to tear anyone, let alone a customer down. How dare she bodyshame ANYONE. I was considering using Violetas depending on how my friends service went, and this solidified a no on my end. I shutter to think what this woman would have to say to me, a plus sized woman.

Whatever you do, NEVER trust them with a $2,000 wedding dress. Thank goodness my mother came into town a few days early and was able to at least fix some of their mistakes but you would think since they had my dress for 7 and a half weeks I would at least not have raw cut edges that were uneven and my dress would've been the right length. Then because they made a mistake try to tell me I needed to switch my shoes for more height and even try to tell my bridesmaids that picked it up with me to try and convince me to switch to higher heels. My poor mom spent a ton of time adding slip stitches to my dress in the front so I could walk without tripping. She even had to add more the day of wedding while riding in the limo, all because Violeta's didn't take the proper time or care with my dress. They added extra stress to myself and my mother by having my dress until 6 days before assuring me the entire time everything was fine....

I took my two new pea coats, one Michael Kors and the other Colehaan, I am a slimmer guy and wondered if they could even make them a tighter fit for me….. They did a amazing job! They fit perfect now! Fast and friendly, only thing that sucks is you have to wear a mask and I just thought we were past that. Totally worth it though, thanks ladies

SIDE NOTE: I noticed a few 1 star reviews that the lady was making remarks about a persons weight.????
